Declaration Prayer: For President Trump and His Team [Update]

We declare in the name of Jesus :

• God will continue to bless and protect President Trump and his family, as well as the “scepter of justice” that God has raised up to support him in his government.
• The blood of Jesus covers them and those close to President Trump, bind and drive away any witchcraft or spells cast on them.
• The Holy Spirit continues to pour out and personally guide President Trump. He grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God. ( Lu 2:52 )
• The seven spirits of God are manifested in President Trump’s life ( Isaiah 11:1-3 ), giving him keen insight and discernment, judging the situation, and resolutely continuing to fulfill his call.

Declaration Prayer: Declaration for the month of Cheshvan

Editor’s note: Cheshvan – the eightth month of the Jewish sacred calendar, the second month of the civil year 5786, corresponds to October 23, 2025 to November 20  in the Gregorian calendar.

Declare in the name of Jesus :

• Now is the time to forget the old things and leap into the abundance God has in store for us.
• God is in us. Although the earth changes and the mountains are shaken, we will not be shaken. When the time comes, He will help me. ( Psalm 46:1-5 )
• As we draw nearer to God every day, we will receive a steady stream of anointing and rejoice in Him even in the midst of adversity.
• The pain we experience will transform us into God’s destiny.
• We must present ourselves as a living sacrifice, not conformed to the world, and our minds must be renewed and transformed. ( Romans 12:1-2 )
• God will help us deal with the “little fox that destroys the vineyard” ( Song of Songs 2:15 ) in our lives.
• God always leads us to triumph in Christ, and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Christ. ( 2 Corinthians 2:14-16 )
• God will help us make every thornbush situation into Juniper. ( Isaiah 55:13 )
• The Holy Spirit will lead us into a new level of passion for God.
• The God of peace is about to trample Satan under our feet, and the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ will always be with us! ( Romans 16:20 )
• The light of God will enable us to see our destiny and reveal the path we should take.
• We are satisfied with God, and rivers of holy water flow within us, constantly renewing and transforming us. ( John 7:7 )

Pray for America: Joel’s Army Prayer Points (10/26)

Editor’s note: This article is the focus of the “World for Christ” ministry led by Nita Johnson to pray for the United States on October 26th for your reference and prayer.

1. Worship God, pray for revival and awakening, and bring communism down.
2. Pray for Trump Admin/Cabinet, Elon Musk protection, wisdom,discernment, in each step God has given him to Make America Great Again. Pray for grace and unity for the nation in this time of uprooting corruption. One Nation Under God! Start praying for midterm elections. Pray for Justice and Rule of law.

5. Pray for Academia– Jesus came to Nita and said: “Time to save the children.” pray for the removal of communism, corruption, and implementation of righteous education and the 1776 curriculum.
6. Repent for bloodletting and call in a culture of life. Include abortion and human trafficking
7. Pray for ongoing wars – Russia / Ukraine, Israel / Hamas. Pray for sustaining ceasefire between Israel/Iran. Pray for Taiwan and for God to intercept China’s plans for invasion.
8. Pray against Chaos- pray against sleeper agents here in America. Pray for complete exposure of them as well as their funding. Pay against no kings protests/riots. Pray against false flags and weather manipulation.
9. Pray for this generation (give special attention to youth) to rise up in the fire of God. Pray for pure streams of revival to prepare and equip this generation for their destiny in God.

• Government and society
  • Grant the coalition government wisdom, strategy, unity, and courage to lead Israel so that the decisions they make are in accordance with God’s will.
  • Pray that God will grant Netanyahu health, wisdom, and strength, protect him from assassination attempts, distractions, and temptations, and enable him to uphold God’s ways in politics, diplomacy, military affairs, and society.
  • Pray that God will remove unbiblical obstacles in government, heal divisions within leadership, expel anti-government and lawless spirits from society, and stop the distortions and lies in the media.
  • To provide healing and spiritual support to the returned hostages and their families, and to comfort those families who only received the bodies of their loved ones, so that all the bodies of the hostages can be returned to Israel.

• Gaza:
  • Continue to harden Hamas leaders into opposing any agreement unless it meets Israel’s demands: the release of all hostages and the complete elimination of Hamas rule and military capabilities in Gaza.
  • Strengthen Israel’s righteous demands and strengthen Israel’s intransigence, scatter God’s enemies, and ensure that the war ends only in God’s perfect timing (Psalm 46:9 ).
  • Completely destroy Hamas’s tunnel system.
  • The Lebanese army is currently still stationed in Gaza and controls 53% of the area.
  • Restrain every terrorist released from Israeli prisons, prevent them from repeating their past crimes, and save some of them.
  • To free the land of Gaza from the control of all evil spirits.
•  Internal and external security
  • This has led more Israelis to completely oppose the establishment of a Palestinian state and advocate the extension of sovereignty.
  • Grant Israel’s leaders the courage to resist all attempts to prevent Israel from extending its sovereignty over Your land.
  • Help Israel gather all necessary intelligence to stop all terrorist attack attempts and plans.
  • Break the bow of Elam , establish my throne in Elam , destroy the evil regime, and accelerate the fulfillment of Jeremiah 49:35-38 to Iran .
  • Revealing Syria’s new president’s true intentions toward Israel.
  • Quickly and publicly expose Qatar’s hidden conspiracy.
  • Pray that God will use Israel’s connections with the Druze and Kurds in the Middle East ( Malachi 1:5 ).
• Aliyah/Messianic Body/Salvation
  • Pray that God will arise in the land of exile to remind and draw the Jews back to their homeland and destroy the lies and prejudices of the media.
  • Calling on Gentile members to help Jewish children return to their homeland financially and through prayer. ( Isaiah 49:22 )
  • To free the Body of Christ from the bondage of replacement theology and to understand and align with God’s redemptive plan for Israel and the nations.
  • Pray that God would reveal the Messiah Jesus to many Jews during the festival and save their lives. ( Matthew 16:15-17 )

The Great Transitional Epic

Word received on November 11, 2021:

This is a word about how the phenomena of 11:11 is heralding a new day of ancient prophecy in our times and what Donald Trump, Bob Jones, and medical mandates have to do with it. We are in a moment I’d like to call “The Great Transitional Epic.” Throughout history, there have been many major historical transitions. Biblically speaking, God has worked major transitions for the purpose of His people and His eternal purposes.

The greatest and most important transitional epic was and is, without question, the life of Jesus Christ. His life represented the great transition from the first Adam to the last. He was the prophesied God-man, the Savior of all mankind. His life was our transition from death to life, from darkness to light. Now, today, any true historical transition has its roots in Christ. In other words, God is working all things for our good to the glory of His Son.

Now, because of Christ, even what the enemy means for harm is turned for good in order to fulfill the eternal purposes in Christ. His finished work is still being appropriated today. In fact, God allows earth’s great transitions to be reminders of satan’s ultimate defeat at the cross. In God’s eternal wisdom, He has used epic transitions to save nations, deliver souls, destroy enemies, release promised inheritance, and fulfill seemingly impossible prophecies.

The following prophecy is a summarized work—the result of many years of mysteries, dreams, revelatory encounters, and Scriptural insight. At the outset, it should be noted that this prophetic word is meant to give potential prophetic perspectives for current events, coming transitions, and at least one level of interpretation to Biblical prophecy. Keep in mind that I am releasing this word with sincere faith, yet with the understanding that we only know in part.

All over the world, a strange phenomenon is being reported by masses of people. Not all of these people are Bible-believing Christ followers, but the majority of them do believe that something or someone supernatural is speaking to them through the numbers 11:11. Vast and seemingly endless articles can be found online that detail reports of people seeing the numbers 11:11. The reports indicate this is happening across the earth in unusual ways with increasing frequency, indicating that this is more than coincidence.

The number eleven can Biblically or prophetically speak of transition, disorder, chaos, the end of day, and alignment. For the purpose of this word, I’m going to clarify how the phenomenon of seeing 11:11 is speaking of a great transition into Biblical, prophetic, and heavenly alignment.

Christy Lam’s Dream: Bob Jones and 11:11

Very recently (in 2021), I had a profound encounter with a woman that shook me with an urgent prophetic burden. A woman named Christy Lam, whom I have never met in person, contacted me because she needed help interpreting a dream. She said that God highlighted me to her as someone she needed to share her dream with who would be able to provide interpretation. Christy’s dream was deeply prophetic.

For brevity’s sake, I will quickly summarize her dream and its interpretation. Her dream was a very symbolic picture of both natural Israel and the Body of Christ. The prophet Bob Jones was in her dream, revealing (in a prophetic sense) that a disease was needing to be treated in God’s people. Bob indicated that only one shot was needed to restore the health and life of His beloved people (both Israel and those who have been grafted into them by Christ).

Upon waking from this dream, Christy remembered that Bob named the disease “K.K.,” and led her to know these letters coordinated with their numeric value in the alphabet of 11:11.

After reading her dream, I was shocked and internally shaken. It was as if I suddenly had a veil removed from our era of time, and God began to connect many dots for me. The dream and some of the symbols immediately brought me back to my own personal supernatural journey of encounter with the numbers 11:11, and even Bob Jones.

A Dream of Bob Jones and Then a Real-Life Encounter

Around 2007, I began to have unusual occurrences of seeing 11:11 regularly. At first this seemed like an odd coincidence, but after a few amazing confirmations, God told me this was Him. The Spirit of God said that He was introducing me to Isaiah 11:11, which reads, “It shall come to pass in that day that the Lord shall set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people who are left, from Assyria and Egypt, from Pathros and Cush, from Elam and Shinar, from Hamath and the islands of the sea” (NKJV). (Photo via Pexels)

Then in 2008, I had a dream with the prophet Bob Jones. In the dream, Bob came up to me and said, “Andrew, 11:11 is very important.”

So I asked him, “Bob, what is 11:11?”

He said, “It is Isaiah 11:11.”

Then I asked Bob, “What does Isaiah 11:11 mean?”

Bob responded, “It means exactly what it says.”

I pondered this for many years after the dream.

In real life, during November of 2011 (11/11), I was with friends at a conference in Wisconsin where Bob Jones was going to minister. At that time, I had never met Bob Jones except in my dreams. After the first session of the conference, where another man had ministered, my friend and I went back to the hotel to relax. We recognized it was around 5:00 p.m.

As soon as we walked into the hotel lobby, we were surprised to see Bob Jones standing there looking at us. My friend had known Bob personally from a past ministry within the Vineyard. My friend asked Bob why he was there, to which Bob said, “Well, you told me to meet you here at 5:00 p.m.” My friend and I looked at each other, knowing that neither of us had told Bob to meet us. We didn’t argue with him, so we all went to dinner.

At the dinner table, Bob prophesied a number of things over each of us who were gathered there. After a while, Bob looked up at me and said, “Andrew, 11:11 is very important.” In that moment, the dream from three years prior came rushing back to my mind. So, I responded as I did in the dream and said, “What is 11:11?”

He said, “It is Isaiah 11:11.”

I asked, “What does Isaiah 11:11 mean?” to which Bob responded, “It means exactly what it says.”

As you can imagine, I was shocked and physically shaken. This whole scenario played out exactly as I had foreseen in my dream years prior.

This was a stunning encounter, and I thought to myself, “God, what does this have to do with me? Why are You going to such great supernatural and prophetic lengths to confirm this message to me? What do I do with this?” The answers have unfolded in various levels throughout time, and now this word will relate some part of the meaning.

Isaiah 11:11

Isaiah 11:11 declares a future prophecy of a second regathering of the scattered people of Israel back to their Promised Land. Of course, this indicates that there was a first. Many Bible scholars and commentaries believe that the first regathering speaks of their deliverance from Babylon. Some have suggested it speaks about Israel’s deliverance from Egypt. Both have some merits, but I’m more inclined to believe this passage speaks about their first return from captivity in Babylon.

However, as we see with many prophetic Scriptures, there are often multiple levels of application and fulfillment to these words. Sometimes ancient prophecies carry levels of prophetic fulfillment for every generation until, at last, the complete fulfillment of the prophecy comes. I believe the fullest measure of this prophecy is the literal return of Jesus Christ to reign in the earth. Could we be at that point in time? Maybe, but I would like to suggest another possibility.

I believe we are in another transitional period of an Isaiah 11:11 moment in time, where God is about to rescue His people from out of 400 to 500 years of a religious and governmental system of bondage—typified by the governmental structures of Egypt and the religious systems of Babylon—and into another dimension of fulfillment of regathering both Israel and His Church into Christ. Either way, we are certainly nearing the return of Christ. Until that time, I see God bringing us into great transitions, into the “restoration of all things” (Acts 3:21).

Donald Trump: A Modern-Day Cyrus

Prior to the 2016 election in which Donald Trump became president of the United States, I didn’t personally care for his manner or take seriously his political run. However, that all changed after he was elected and I had a dream.

In the dream, I was sitting with President Trump in the Oval Office where he had his Bible open, reading Isaiah 45—the passage about Cyrus. At that time, I had never heard of any prophecies connecting Trump with Cyrus. Only later did I find that there were prophecies connecting Trump with Cyrus. (Photo via Flickr)

Anyway, in the dream, President Trump looked at me and asked me to be praying for him. I knew in that moment by revelation that God was assigning me to pray for him for the purpose that he, Trump, would fulfill the “scroll of Cyrus” on his life. During the next four years of Trump’s presidency, I was given continual revelation and prophetic strategy on how to pray for him.

Some of the dreams and revelations I received from the Lord showed me that President Trump would appear to lose the 2020 election, only to return under the right circumstances, at the right time, through the aid of the military. I could say much about this, but I will not expound at this point.

The Word of the Lord for Our Present Times

Within the past year (2025), I had a profound dream. In my dream, a “father prophet” in America came to me and said, “Andrew, you need to find the word of the Lord for our times right now.” So, in the dream, I went searching and seeking to discover the word of the Lord for our times.

As I was searching, I found myself on a road called “Main Street America.” Along this road, I noticed a coffee and tea shop called “Fusion Brew.” I went into Fusion Brew and sat down. Upon sitting down, I tossed my Bible on the table, and it fell open to the book of Ezra. When I saw the book of Ezra, it seemed to leap off the page at me, and a powerful spirit of prophecy came upon me, and I knew without a doubt that the book of Ezra was the word of the Lord for our times.

After waking from the dream and seeking the Lord on the matter, He revealed to me that America is on the road of a “fusion” of two times. What I understood the Lord to mean is that as it was in the times of Ezra, so it is again. Interesting that the book of Ezra, chapter 1, literally kicks off with King Cyrus making a decree on behalf of Israel to return and rebuild the temple to the God of Heaven.

“Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: The LORD, the God of Heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and He has charged me to build Him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Whoever is among you of all His people, may his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and rebuild the house of the LORD, the God of Israel—He is the God who is in Jerusalem.” (Ezra 1:2 ESV)

God began to connect the dots even further for me, and I realized that for many years God has been identifying Isaiah 11:11 as a second “transitional epic of times,” marked by another Cyrus.

The first deliverance and regathering of God’s people from Babylon took place through Cyrus. Now, again, another level of prophetic fulfillment is upon us. Both natural Israel and the Body of Christ are about to transition into a new day of prophetic acceleration and fulfillment.

Demonic Infiltrators

One of the key things we must understand is that the ancient mystery religions of Babylon have been operating in modernity through governmental and world elites. This has produced far more antichrist hindrances to the spreading of the Gospel and the Kingdom than we could possibly imagine. These ancient religions are veiled forms of nothing other than cloaked satanic worship. The U.S. government, since its inception, has been built upon the mixture of these demonic infiltrators and their false and forbidden worship.

Truly, the governing systems of our day have been nothing other than cloaked occult structures. Our modern systems of governance—nationally, internationally, religiously, and politically—have been constructed from the ancient ways of both Babylon and Egypt. The worship of these false gods is alive and well, and their power and influence have been animated through the modern constructs of world governance. However, it’s all about to change.

We have reached the eleventh hour and the “11:11 Great Transitional Epic”—from bondage and slavery to a new day of ingrafting and regathering for the glory of God and the expansion and sudden advancement of His Kingdom throughout the earth. Truly, we are entering the day of His power.

The Day of the Lord’s Power

On Election Day 2020, I woke up at 5:00 a.m. to pray. As I sat on the couch, I was so tired that I kept going in and out of sleep. I couldn’t tell if I was awake or asleep—possibly in a trance state—when suddenly I saw a man standing before me. His name was David Hogan. It felt like thirty minutes that he stood there, and I kept wondering and asking God what He wanted me to understand from David Hogan. I was having visions of David raising the dead, driving out demons, facing death head-on, and paying an awful price to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. (Photo via Pexels)

Finally, after a series of visions and continually asking God what I was supposed to know from this, I fell into a deep sleep. Then, after a time of sleep, I woke abruptly to David Hogan’s voice, saying, “TODAY IS THE DAY OF THE LORD’S POWER.” Immediately, I had an understanding come to me when I heard this word that November 3rd marked a shift in times. What is coming in these new times will be a great demonstration of the Lord’s power like never before.

I believe in these times of transition the Lord is inviting us to freely give ourselves for His purposes in our day. According to Psalm 110:3, “Your people will volunteer freely in the day of Your power” (NASB 1995). Why would God say that Election Day 2020 would mark a new day of His power? I believe it had everything to do with His “Cyrus,” Donald Trump, who would be restored to office.

The Near Future

Shortly after the election, I had a dream where I was taken to a place in the spirit called “the near future.” In that place and at that time, I was ushered into the Oval Office. I was seated at the president’s desk. Donald Trump sat down, stared at me, and said, “You are in the near future. Everything they (the deep state) tried has failed. The fraud failed, and I am your president.”

The truth of that dream is why God showed me that His intention to use Trump as a Cyrus for our times is not finished. Both the real winner and the fraud of the 2020 elections will be exposed for all to see. His return will herald a “new day of the Lord’s power.” It will mark a shift from the place of captivity under the deep state occult to a day of restoration and Biblical hope for the nations and future generations.

Operation Fury

In one very significant dream (on April 6, 2021), I felt what God was about to place upon Donald Trump for the next season of His purpose was an anointing for justice. I was shown that Donald Trump, the U.S. military, and the angels of Heaven would be activated by the Spirit of God to conduct a mission called “Operation Fury.” This would be the greatest release of God’s vengeance and anger against the demonic realm we have ever seen in our times.

Upon the activation of Operation Fury, those who had shed innocent blood would be removed, abortion would fall, occult structures would be vanquished, and a new day of peace for Israel and the Gospel would come forth.

I am not suggesting that “the end” has fully come, but a shadow of the future destruction for all satanic thrones and his kingdom shall be made known. The justice coming in this Great Transitional Epic will once again declare the victory of Jesus Christ and foreshadow the ultimate doom of satan and his kingdom. This brings me back to the beginning of this word and the dream that Christy Lam had.

Return to Christy Lam’s Dream

In Christy Lam’s dream, Bob Jones said all that was needed to break the disease off God’s people was one shot! As I read that part in her dream, I instantly thought of a dream I had regarding the vaccine shot.

In the summer of 2020, I saw in a dream that a future vaccine would be created and forcefully mandated in the name of protecting people from COVID. However, in the dream, I knew at the core of its creation was an evil agenda that would ultimately bring forth the control of a death agenda by satanic thrones. In other words, what I saw was that either this future vaccine would literally harm people by what it contained and/or that its purpose would be to bring America under the control of a satanic government.

In the dream, I prophesied and said, “This vaccine is satan’s attempt to change set times and laws.” After I realized that this was not God’s will but an attempt by darkness to hijack God’s appointed times and set laws, I suddenly became aware in the dream that the U.S. military was activated to help save America and the nations from the satanic purposes and evil that this shot would ultimately cause.

Pondering the fact that the disease of God’s people was 11:11, and that a “shot” was the solution, confirmed to me that the worldwide vaccine mandate would be the activator to set in motion the Great Transitional Epic of Isaiah 11:11. God is about to deliver His people from the god of this age governing the nations with Babylonian and Egyptian structures and witchcraft. (Photo via Pexels)

I believe it is this worldwide shot mandate that will be a type of “shot heard around the world.” Just so there is no misunderstanding, I don’t believe the shot has any benefit other than its catalytic effect to awaken the nations and set in motion a level of prophetic fulfillment to Isaiah 11:11, to “set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people.”

Prophetic Snapshots

The following list is just some of the prophetic snapshots I have received through many prophetic dreams and revelatory encounters about some of what God is bringing His remnant back to in this Great Transitional Epic.

1.  “God is destroying the church that man built” is the word of the Lord for His Body in our times. In the coming years, the Church in much of its form and function will look far different from much of its current state. We will see a greater emphasis on developing the Body’s function, fathers championing younger generations, and on Israel, the Kingdom of God, and home fellowship. We will see family prayer altars on fire, Kingdom advancement through the seven spheres of society, and the apostolic function and governmental application. Being a hidden one will be valued again.
2. God is raising up a new guard of gatekeepers for future generations who will function with the anointing of Proverbs 4:7: “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding” (NKJV).
3. The prophets have come to a T-intersection. The Lord says to the prophets who go left, “You are not in sin, but you refuse to look and see what hides in darkness, that it might be exposed. You are content to speak about the positive side of the supernatural, yet remain ignorant of much of the devil’s devices.” The Lord says to the prophets who go right, “You are willing to let Me show you the depths of what hides in darkness, that you may shine My light to expose it. To those who go right, they will receive the greatest spoils of war.”
4. The Lord is reviving the wisdom of the ancients to wage “prophetic war.” God’s people will learn a new spiritual “art of war” that will obtain and manifest God’s promises. It will be a new day of prophetic warfare that will strike Leviathan’s belly and revive faith in God’s Word.
5.  Jesus is piloting America in this time. He is intentionally taking us through the greatest possible turbulence so that all things not buckled down will begin to surface. The way the flight of our nation is being piloted looks completely hopeless and appears to be headed for a terrible crash landing. However, I saw that Jesus can be completely trusted as our pilot, and at the last possible moment, He will land our nation with a supernatural rescue.
6. I saw future headlines declaring that President Trump would be brought back into his rightful position of authority and leadership to help restore the republic of America through the aid of the military.
7. I saw several former presidents, justice department officials, and world elites from multiple spheres being jailed for their crimes.
8. I saw the end of the old media guard. It was shown to me as a principality called “Mockingbird,” and it was being brought down. Specifically, the news media collusion to hide human and child sex trafficking will be its end.
9. In a dream (October 2019), I saw that when the Cyrus scroll on Trump is fulfilled, it will bring us into a new era of life that we have never known or experienced before. We will be shocked at how strong of a grip the deep state had over our health, our wealth, and our mindsets, but rejoice in how much freedom we will be advancing in.
10. This great transition will certainly bring us forward into a new day of Kingdom advancement. And with it, I saw Jezebel’s indoctrination of our culture beginning to crumble and fall as we entered the times of revivals and awakenings. The scepter of her wickedness will be shattered off of our land.
11. As it was in the days of King Cyrus and the decree to return and rebuild, so again God will initiate a Cyrus-type shift to regather a new day of building His temple of living stones and shift the wealth into the hands of Kingdom workers of righteousness, according to the decree from Ezra 1:4: “And in any locality where survivors may now be living, the people are to provide them with silver and gold, with goods and livestock, and with freewill offerings for the temple of God in Jerusalem” (NIV).

This Great Transitional Epic

In conclusion, I believe God’s involvement in our time and among the nations is for His greater eternal purposes to bring forth a new day of power, a return to building a temple of living stones to carry His glory, and to bring forth the “one new man” of Jews and Gentiles in Christ (Ephesians 2:15).

In the days, months, and years ahead, I believe 11:11 will be a marker of God’s great rescue plan for our times. He is bringing back His remnant from the places of captivity in systems of demonic governance to yet again establish His fame throughout the earth! For now, let’s pray for God’s perfect will and that His Kingdom would come in this GREAT TRANSITIONAL EPIC!

The Breaking That Releases the Blessing

During a time of prayer, I was taken into a vision where I saw that famous passage in Scripture—Jesus multiplying the fishes and loaves to feed five thousand souls. Holy Spirit instructed me to focus on that sacred moment when Jesus took the fishes and bread, lifted them up to the Father, thanked Him for them, blessed them, then broke them. In the lifting, there is acknowledgment that every provision begins with Heaven’s touch. When Jesus lifted those humble offerings skyward, He was declaring, “What seems insufficient in earthly hands becomes infinite in the Father’s economy.”

The Divine Declaration

The Spirit of the Lord spoke to me and said, “The fish and bread here represent many of My people in this hour. They suffered great brokenness in the last season, but it was for a great purpose! Like fish drawn from waters of chaos, preserved through salt and trial, you have learned to thrive in what should have destroyed you. Like grain crushed to become bread, your crushing was never your conclusion; it was your consecration. I broke them to bless and increase them! Their lives have gone through the necessary deconstruction process to release healing and strength to others. They now carry a glorious substance—a heavenly leaven—that will become nourishment to multitudes in the days ahead.

The Intercession of Your Breaking

“Lift your head, O My children, and see that in your ‘breaking season,’ it was l who lifted you up in prayer before My Father, for I live to make intercession for you! Your future breakthrough went before you in the realm of the spirit, as I gave thanks to our Father for your glorious victory before you even entered the breaking. Every tear you shed was held in My bottle, every shattered fragment was collected in baskets of purpose. You will see nothing at all was lost or wasted, for all will now be made useful,” says the Lord.

“Open your eyes to see that in the death to self, you will now reap a harvest that will bring great joy to all! My precious one, I am now giving you as a gift to a hungry and hopeless people.

The Tables of Testimony

“Your words of wisdom will be the finest food, the bread that teaches and protects from chaos, as you sit and commune with others at many tables. For I am sending you to sit at many tables. Just as I sat and ate with sinners, so I am sending you to sit and eat with both saints and sinners that they might taste and see that I am good! (Photo via Pexels)

“The table is the place of covenant. When you break bread with the broken, you’re extending My Kingdom’s multiplication principle. What was broken in isolation will become blessing in community, as you invite them into a new and better covenant with Me. As you feast on My love before them, they will see that the Lamb is better than the slop they have settled for.

The Qualification of Your Fragments

“Do not be afraid nor dismayed, thinking your past brokenness disqualifies you. For it actually qualifies you! When life got too hard for you to stand, I watched you kneel before Me, seeking My blessing in the place of humility and surrender. Your knees that buckled in the breaking are the very knees that now carry Kingdom authority.

“When you live your life broken open before Me, the world can see and smell the bountiful, beautiful substance—the fragrance of Christ that is hidden within you. Like the alabaster box that had to be broken to release its perfume, your breaking has released a fragrance that fills every room you enter. You are My living epistle, written not with ink but with the oil of gladness, pressed from the olives of your affliction.

The Satisfaction Exchange

“I am satisfied by your love for Me as you continue to come and be satisfied by Me.

“Rest, receive, rejoice, and you will reign with Me in the days ahead! Notice the divine sequence: rest (cease striving), receive (open hands), rejoice (thanksgiving before seeing), then reign (distribution of multiplied blessing).

“I have made up My mind to bless you to be a blessing. Just as I blessed Abraham in Genesis 12:2, so I have blessed you; it’s within the DNA of every covenant child. No longer shall you be a reservoir but a river, nor a dead sea; but you will be rushing, flowing stream. The damn has broken and now healing waters from Eden will pour continuously from you, My surrendered vessel.

The Manna of Your Testimony

“Your testimony of My victory that brought you through the wilderness seasons will now be like manna that multiplies, even as it guides and supplies for others as they cross into their promised lands. Every fragment of your story carries the same miraculous power as the original breaking. Your testimony doesn’t diminish with telling; it multiplies with each sharing. This is your inheritance in My Kingdom, is it not? For My boundary lines fall in pleasant places. (Photo via Pixabay)

The Territory of Increase

“Watch as your territory expands and your gifts make room for you! For where there was decrease, I have commanded a double-portion increase! I watched you press into Me to know My heart for those who, in your breaking, misunderstood My work in you. They falsely accused you of sinning against Me, but it was they who sinned against Me when they spoke words in agreement with the accuser over you, when I sent them to be a comfort.

“Even as I restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends, and increased all that Job had twofold, so shall I do with you. Your forgiveness and intercession for others have become the breakthrough to your own multiplication. You will see that your faith in Me shall make you fat—spiritually prosperous—as you feast on My love and favor towards you in your personal promised land.

The Overflow Lifestyle

“You will live in the overflow as one who knows how to ask, seek, and receive from Me—the One who provides and satisfies all of your needs and desires. The twelve baskets collected were not for hoarding but for holding temporary vessels for continued distribution. Your overflow is not for storage but for strategic release. My faithful one, enjoy My fullness and know that I fully delight in you.

“Selah (pause and consider): You are not just fed; you are food. You are not just blessed; you are blessing. You are not just broken; you are bread. In the hands of the Master, your insufficiency becomes His sufficiency, your fragments become a feast, and your testimony becomes a table set before a hungry world.

It is well known that the more you look at something the more you see. Looking at something over an extended period of time, however, does not guarantee correct perception. If you look through a blue lens, everything will appear blue no matter how long or hard you look. The only way to correct this wrong perception is to identify and remove the blue lens.

Focal length also seriously affects our view of reality. A close-up view of a person or situation can reveal minute details, but a further-out view can reveal threats, influences, and forces that were not visible before. One of the most important things a person can do to improve their perception is to train their spiritual eyes to see people and situations both close up and further out.

The Importance of Enhancing Your Perception

Some of the biggest mistakes in life happen when people only see a close-up or a further-out view. Prophets also make serious mistakes when they only see a close-up or further-out view. Prophets like Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel learned to see both imminent judgment and far-off restoration. Without this dual vision, they would not have stood steady in the most trying and intense situations.

Eyes are an incredible and intricate creation. They have muscles that quickly adjust focus from close to distant, or distant to close. As we get older, the ability of our eyes to adjust their focus weakens. There are, however, exercises that can strengthen the focus-adjusting muscles in the eyes. This means that eyes can be trained and strengthened through strategic and intentional use. That’s why pride confidently asserts, “I see,” but humility says, “I see what I see, but I’m still learning to see more.” (Photo via Unsplash)

Here are three important keys for enhanced perception:

• Identify and remove the lenses that color your vision.
• Keep looking until the picture becomes clearer over time.
• Train your eyes to look from both close-up and further-out perspectives.

Maintaining Both a Close-Up and Further-Out Perspective

The book of Revelation beautifully illustrates the importance of maintaining both a close-up and further-out perspective. In Revelation chapter 1, John has a close-up view of Jesus standing among seven lampstands, which represent seven churches. It is so astonishing and overpowering that he falls flat on his face! In chapters 2 and 3, John sees Jesus give intimate messages to each of the seven churches.

After this, John sees a door standing open in Heaven and hears a voice like a trumpet, saying, “Come up here!” Immediately, he is ushered into the throne room where a divine council is in session. God sits on His throne surrounded by living creatures and elders (Revelation 4–5).

The seven seals, seven trumpets, and seven bowls that follow in chapters 6 to 16 all issue from the divine council. The divine-council scene gives John a further-out perspective about the events that are happening in the heavens and on the earth. Even the revelations about the dark side—dragons, beasts and harlots—are seen from the divine-council perspective presented in chapters 4 and 5.

John went from an intimate, close-up view of Jesus speaking to each of the seven churches, to a vast, big-picture view of events unfolding in the heavens and on the earth. There is a relationship between the intimate messages given to the seven churches and the big-picture cosmic drama that unfolds in the chapters that follow.

The revelations in the book of Revelation teach the seven churches the importance of having both a close-up and further-out view. Both views were necessary to navigate the times in which they lived. Both views were necessary to fully comprehend and understand the other. (Photo via PickPik)

The modern propensity toward a dispensational mindset has blinded many to the intricate connection between the messages to the seven churches and everything that flows from the divine council. The seven churches were part of an unfolding cosmic drama that was both exhilarating and dynamic. Understanding the cosmic drama added greater weight to the messages Jesus gave to each of the seven churches. From Genesis to Revelation, there are many instances in which having both a close-up and further-out view was absolutely necessary to be an overcomer.

A New Level of Prophetic Authority

A new level of prophetic authority is about to manifest on the earth. Prophets who have been locked into a close-up view of people, situations, and nations will start having further-out, big-picture revelations. Prophets who have been locked into further-out, big-picture views will start having close-up, intimate revelations. Both views are strategically important. One is not more important than the other.

Whatever you are facing right now, ask God to train your eyes to see from both close up and further out. Like John, this will enable you to “prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages, and kings” (Revelation 10:11).

President Trump added, “After two years of darkness and imprisonment, it is an honor for the 20 brave hostages to finally return to their families.” Twenty-eight more precious relatives have finally returned to this sacred land and will rest here forever.”

Editorial Special Section: Ricci Johnson-Wilson: Living Intentionally in 2026”

I want to speak to the importance of living with intention in this season of Open Books. Remember, a line has been drawn in the sand by the Lord, this is the essence of what we’ve been praying over the last several years. It’s an exciting time, but it’s also a very heavy time as we witness God move in this manner in the land. We need to consider, especially as intercessors, what this means for us. As people who are seeking God’s plans and purposes for the nation, how do we navigate a season like this?

First, I believe we need to recognize our purpose in the earth. We are the children of the Living God. We have His Spirit residing within us. This enables us, if we are willing to embrace this revelation, to live out His plans and purposes in the earth. We are not put here in this country, at this time in history, to merely be spectators. We are not appointed by God to sit on the sidelines and wait for the promises to be fulfilled. We are called to occupy. (Luke 19:13) This requires engagement with His Heavenly Kingdom as well as the kingdom (or country) in which we live. Remember, God partners with His people to accomplish His will here on earth. As the enemy has sought to separate us—as a nation—from God, an unfortunate result is a separation of the Church from God. We’ve lost our understanding of that relationship and what it means to apply the Word of God to every aspect of our lives both personally and in relation to the nation in which we live. We’ve forgotten, or never learned, how to live our lives as ambassadors for His Kingdom and bring the influence of His Kingdom into the nation in which we live. Our Founding Fathers were students of the Word of God. If someone wanted to hold office within the 13 Colonies, they were required to pass religious tests. Why? To maintain a protestant influence in this nation and ensure there was godly influence consistently shaping the political landscape of our country.

Second, we need to live with intention. And, to occupy, is to live with intention.

Last week I read Daniel 5 and planned to share some points on Daniel’s response to the events occurring in Babylon. These are excellent for us to glean from as these events were a perfect example of a line drawn in the sand. However, we ran short on time, so, we will start with these points and move into an important message from the New Covenant.

Daniel, the man:

Daniel was a man of God who lived his life in captivity with great intention. How?

1. He kept his relationship with God the priority. Every ruler he encountered, even if they had great affection for Daniel, could have him executed on the spot. He had to rely heavily on God for his survival. Everything he did required him to live under the shelter of the Almighty.
2. He was an intercessor who prayed with intention thereby understanding the heart of God. He also did not allow circumstances to dictate:
   • how or when he prayed
   • force him to compromise on his worship of God and God alone
   • shape how he relayed the Word of the Lord to powerful people.
3. He was a prophet. He knew it was God who called him to be a prophet to the nations and as such, he consistently spoke to rulers releasing the Word of the Lord with intention.
4. He was also a student of the Word who prayed through prophecy so he could live out the revelation of God with great intention in the nation in which he lived.

As a result of these four things, he knew the season he was living in when the writing was written on the wall. So, in Daniel Chapter 5, when the hand appeared and wrote out “Mene Mene Tekel, Upharsin.” Meaning, “you have been weighed in the balance and found wanting.” Daniel recognized, from the timeline of Scripture, that the Babylonian Empire was falling.

How did Daniel handle God dealing with the Babylonian Empire?

Daniel knew the books were open and the line had been drawn in the sand by the Lord. Judgment was falling on the Babylonian kingdom making way for the Medo-Persian kingdom to enter in. Why? Because he was a studious intercessor, and he was appointed by God to be His light, even in captivity. This event, the tearing down of the Babylonian Empire, was a monumental event.

Babylon was seemingly an impenetrable city. The outer walls were 17 miles long, 22 feet thick, and 90 feet high. The city gates were made of bronze and there was a system of inner and outer walls and moats that made the city very secure. Regardless of how secure their fortress seemed to be, when God drew a line in the sand, the judgment was set!

Why? Their cup of corruption was full and the judgment of the Lord, through His servant Cyrus, was now being executed upon Babylon. God knew exactly when, and Daniel, the man who lived a life of intention, praying through prophecy, speaking when called upon, and standing as a witness of the moments God’s prophetic words were fulfilled in the earth.

History records that in 539 BCE, that’s 2564 years ago this October, Cyrus advanced into lower Mesopotamia and leaving Babylon last, conquered and occupied the surrounding territory. Seeing which way the wind was blowing, Nabonidus of Babylon had already deserted his city, leaving it in the charge of his son Belshazzar. The taking of Babylon was as bloodless and effortless as Daniel 5 implies. Herodotus, an ancient Greek historian, writes that the Persian King Cyrus conquered Babylon by diverting the flow of the Euphrates into a nearby swamp. This lowered the level of the river, so his troops marched through the water and under the river gates. They would still not have been able to enter had not the bronze gates of the inner walls been left inexplicably unlocked.

Thereby fulfilling the word of the Lord prophesied by Isaiah some 200 years ago.

Isaiah 44:24-45:7  Thus saith the Lord, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb,I am the Lord that maketh all things;  that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself; ²⁵ that frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish; ²⁶ that confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof: ²⁷ that saith to the deep, Be dry, and I will dry up thy rivers:  ²⁸ that saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd,  and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.

Isaiah 45:1-7 Thus saith the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut; ² I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: ³ and I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel. ⁴ For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.

The Medo-Persian is the very kingdom of which Cyrus is the head, which God prophesied through Isaiah some 200 years ago would overthrow the Babylonian kingdom. Daniel knew and understood these things. In Daniel 5, he prophesies it himself and within hours, sees the fulfillment. Daniel prayed with intention, he sought the Lord for revelation through the Scriptures, and he spoke with the conviction that revelation brought. This is where God is calling us to live as intercessors today.

Daniel was a man who lived with intention in a fallen world. He watched the Babylonian nation fall right before his eyes. How can we, as we witness the impact of what it means to have God draw that kind of line in the sand and then open the books of corruption in our nation for all to see, apply Daniel’s actions to our own lives?

1. Do not allow offense to set in, regardless of what we see. Daniel did not allow offense to set in because he was in captivity. He may have been placed in high positions in the Court of these empires, but make no mistake, he was held captive for decades serving at the pleasure of those kings in this foreign land since he was just a teen. We have so much freedom in the USA and we often do not use it to further the Kingdom of God.
2. Remain sober and diligent before the Lord. When the world was intoxicated, Daniel remained sober and diligent before the Lord. Remember, they had to bring him into the banquet to decipher the handwriting on the wall, he was not invited with the other high-ranking officials.
3. View things through the lens of the Lord rather than our own.
   • Jewish scribes record that when Daniel met Cyrus, he showed him Isaiah’s prophesy calling him by name as the one who would release the captives to go build the Temple in Jerusalem (Isaiah 44:24-45:7)
   • When the time drew near, according to Scripture, for the people to be released from their captivity, (Jeremiah 25:11-12) he sought the Lord for anything that would hinder their release and then interceded on behalf of the nation (Daniel 9). Much like we do here at WFJM.
4. He spoke only what the Lord told him to say (Daniel 5). There is authority in the Christian because the Spirit of God dwells within us. We must use that gift, that authority, to release His Kingdom in the earth. This is in part, how we occupy until He comes (Luke 19:13). When we speak contrary to what God is releasing, we are resisting the Word of the Lord. That does not mean we are to receive anything and everything a self-professing prophet says, unfortunately with the advent of the internet, we have a lot of those running loose on social media. The truth is, we are to consider the words that come forth through the lens of the Word of God. We should use discernment, and remember, God confirms His Word through the mouth of 2-3 witnesses.
5. We must speak with intention, regardless of the audience. When we seek the Lord for His revelation, knowledge, understanding and discernment, our ability to speak with intention increases exponentially. (Ephesians 1:17)
6.  We must remain active in our role as the revelation God is in motion. Daniel literally walked out history step by step with the Babylonian and then Medo-Persian leaders. The Jewish Scribes record how Daniel watched over Nebuchadnezzar while he lived as a beast eating grass for seven years. Why? Daniel knew the fruit that would come forth from the humbling of this king, he continued to serve him with great intention even during the season of his humbling. Daniel watched men—and kingdoms—rise and fall but he remained active in his post to ensure the revelation of God continued to be fulfilled in the earth. When we see the revelation God begin to unfold before our very eyes, we must step into the revelation. The momentum is here, engage with intention in the fight while it’s in motion!! We cannot sit idly by and let the revelation pass by like a movie and then get up and walk out and expect to enjoy the fruit of it all. We are part of God’s plan, step into the role He called you into, this is how we walk out the revelation of God.
7. Stay low.  When the Lord opens the books, they will expose everything; may we, His intercessors, not be found gloating but remain humble and in prayer as 2026 brings forth the revelation of the Open Books.

Today, we see judgment falling on the democrat platform. The books are open. In Charlie’s death, they could not offer a moment of silence in Congress. Even in this shutdown, we see the agenda of the Democrat platform shining through. Pray the truth comes out, and Americans eyes are opened in this hour. The Democrats care more about the welfare of non-citizens and criminals than they do our military, our national guard, our senior citizens, or the government-funded welfare and medi-care care of our own citizens. It’s gotten so crazy, they are going to lose their moderate Democrats to the Republican party if this keeps up. Look at Fetterman! Their agenda is going to continue to be exposed in the days ahead. Then, God is going to eradicate this corruption from the heart of this nation. Even now, He is preparing others who will come and step into the role of leadership left vacant by the corrupt leaders.

We are also witnessing decline and ultimately, we will see the fall of the corrupt Media. The Trump Administration led the way for an historic Gaza Peace Summit. He was honored in Israel at the Knesset and then by Middle Eastern Nations at the signing of this treaty in Egypt. Thirty nations were there to endorse this event! How has the media responded? If Obama or Biden had accomplished this, the media would have covered it 24/7 and had them in for interview after interview to shower them with praises. They barely announced it; and then covered Biden’s and Obama’s opinions on the treaty. Of course, Biden took credit for the groundwork!

President Trump has successfully shut down seven conflicts in the world in just the last ten months. He should be hailed as the President of Peace. Instead, they ignore or persecute him.

The media does not do its job. Today, we have a Middle East Peace Treaty, and the Middle East is standing with Israel. Praise God, it’s like the dream the Lord gave me two weeks ago. The signing ceremony, a regal event! However, in Palestine, Hamas is rounding up the opposition and executing them in the street before they are disarmed. This is why we are calling for the disarming of Hamas. Why is the media not covering these horrific events? It does not fit the narrative, “Israel Bad: Palestine Good.”

As intercessors, we need to pray with intention into the things God is speaking in this hour. God will speak to and through His prophets, but if we do not partner with Him, pray into the revelation He is giving, take action when necessary, refuse distractions, vote, even run for office if you are called to fill one of those positions, the momentum of the Word of the Lord will be impacted.

Living intentionally in the New Covenant

I wanted to include New Covenant examples of leaders who sought the Word of Lord for guidance in furthering God’s Kingdom in the Earth.

There is, even in solid Word-based churches today, the belief that with the release of Holy Spirit, the office of the prophet became obsolete. Unfortunately, I believe this idea was reinforced by the advent of the internet and the many self-proclaimed “prophets” releasing “words from the Lord” that often contradicted one another or left people expecting different outcomes such as in the 2020 Election, or Covid, or who the Antichrist is, or even—perhaps most especially—the date the Lord will return. This has caused great delusion and/or discouragement in the church. I honestly believe, many of these pastors are simply trying to protect their flock from falling into some of the deception that is out there, and I certainly understand their concern. It’s unfortunate but this is why discernment in the believer is so important.

As the daughter of the founder of this prophetic and intercessory ministry, I obviously disagree with their assessment.

So, let us look together quickly at Acts 13 to see how the early Church relied heavily on men who were teachers and prophets to expand the Gospel of the Kingdom of God.

We are also going to look briefly at the variety of backgrounds of these individuals that God uses to further the Kingdom of Heaven here on earth.

Acts 13:1-3  Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. ² As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. ³ And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

Barnabas, a Levite from Cyprus. We first meet this generous man in Acts 4 when he brings a gift and lays it at the feet of the Apostles to distribute to the early Church. As a Levite, he had a solid grounding in the Law. He is credited with seeking out Saul (Paul) and vouching for him to the Apostles who were fearful this conversion was not genuine. Barnabas boldly proclaimed the Gospel alongside Paul in his first missionary journey. A true teacher of the Word.

Simeon who was called Niger. Many scholars believe him to be the Simeon who carried the cross of our Lord that last stretch on the way to calvary. He was from Cyrene, a city in Northern Africa, modern day Libya. This city was a Hellenistic Center. Once Greek, then it became part of the Roman Empire, Hellenists combined Greek culture with Near Eastern customs. His sons also play key roles in the Church of Rome. (Romans 16:13)

Lucious, also from Cyrene, was a prophet and teacher in the early Church. He was a key figure in Antioch, just 300 miles north of Jerusalem, these become Headquarters of the Gentile Church. We see him again in Romans 16:21 as Paul’s kinsman.

This is somewhere between 15-18 years after Pentecost- after the release of Holy Spirit, let’s look at that Scripture again, now that we have a little more background on these individuals:

Acts 13:1-3  Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. ² As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. ³ And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

God clearly spoke through His prophets after Pentecost, and He still does today. We simply need to use discernment in who and what we listen to.

Now, I believe God is going to bring some of the youth that I spoke about last week, those social justice warriors, even those who have fallen to Islam up and out and into a place where God can use them for His kingdom.

I had a dream last week, and in the dream I heard the Lord say: “call forth the Manaens!” I stood up and went outside and found myself in unknown places, universities, IVY League Colleges, inner cities, NY, LA, places like these. I began to call them to rise up and take their place.  When I did, the anointing was so powerful, I could barely stand under the weight of it.

I began seeing these young people rise up out of their classrooms, out of shops, out from the midst of protests, and come into the house of God.

Then, they went forth, and they spoke and spread truth to the masses. I saw videos of them flashing in front of my eyes, one after the other.

I woke up.

When I had this dream, I had no idea who the Manaen’s were. I actually had the spelling wrong so I couldn’t find it in Scripture initially. The Lord led me to Acts and as I read through Acts, I found him.

Acts 13:1-3  Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. ² As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. ³ And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

Manean, who was brought up with Herod Antipas. This word “brought up with” indicates they grew up together in the palace, either foster brother or half-brother of Herod. This is the same Herod who beheaded John the Baptist and presided over one of the trials of Jesus, mocking Him before His crucifixion.

Manean represents a powerful transformation in the life of one who follows Christ. He went from the house of sin, persecution and murder to the house of God. As one brought up in the house of Herod, he would have received a superb education. He would have been fluently bilingual and come to understand imperial politics. He likely possessed social access and resources uncommon among first generation believers. He would been exposed to people of great power.

However, when Christ came on the scene, his life was forever changed.

The dichotomy of Herod and Manean is a message unto itself. Suffice it to say, he chose Truth over wealth, humility over power, and grace over influence. Herod was eaten by worms, Manean chose to serve in an eternal Kingdom. Manean become a man of prayer, a prophetic intercessor who sought the Lord for the growth and development of the critical missionary work of the Early Church.

So, when the Lord says to call forth the Maneans of this generation, He’s telling me that He’s preparing this generation for the furtherance of His kingdom in the earth. He’s preparing a prophetic group of young people who will seek the face of God, like Manean, and much like Daniel, live intentionally, always striving to occupy the realms in which they are assigned, releasing His Kingdom wherever they walk, and using the education they received, the understanding and revelation God has given them, to spread the Gospel far and wide with the resources He provides.

2026 is the year of Open Books. We need to live intentionally! We are going to see some difficult things, even experience turbulent times as God resets our nation on His plans and purposes for the land. God is going to expose it all! However, in the process, we are also going to see some glorious, victorious, history-changing events as God raises up the Manaen’s and sets a precedence for Spirit-led governance in the church today!

There is absolutely no doubt that we are in the beginnings of revival in America, an outpouring of such proportions that it will be considered another Great Awakening. Many efforts have contributed to this: much prayer, worship gatherings, repentance, forgiveness, reconciliation, and more. Small acts of obedience have been essential; grassroots efforts that are often unseen by the masses combine in the spirit realm to become great waves of anointing and momentum. Occasionally, however, the Lord leads individuals to convene larger gatherings of believers. Lou Engle and The Call come to mind, as does Washington for Jesus, A Million Women, and others.

One of the more unique and larger gatherings that Holy Spirit has orchestrated was Awaken the Dawn in October 2017. Fifty-eight tents lined the Washington Mall, filled with 24/7 worship led by 1700 worship teams. Yes, I said 1700. Fifty thousand people attended, and 4,000,000 participated online! Many people were saved, including government officials, and many more were healed. Also, statewide movements of prayer and revival were birthed in EVERY state. This event truly was used to help birth a new day. And the fruit didn’t end that day–since 2017, Awaken the Dawn has hosted 800 tent gatherings in capitals, campuses, and cities around the nation…EIGHT HUNDRED!

Holy Spirit has led David Bradshaw and Awaken the Dawn to host another gathering on the National Mall called Communion America. It will take place next week, October 9-12. Although he and his ministry are taking point, this is a collaboration of several ministries, including ours. Fifty tents, one for each state, will be filled with 24/7 worship, prayer, and communion, culminating in partaking of the Lord’s Table together on Saturday, the 11th. The sacrifice of Christ will be honored as millions of people there and throughout the nation take Communion as one. Without question, this will further open the heavens over America. I can’t wait!

I realize that many of you, due to jobs and other responsibilities, cannot attend every event of this nature, and there is also a short time to plan. However, if possible, consider attending this gathering for at least a day. We are told in Scripture that three times a year, all men in Israel who could possibly do so were required to attend the major feasts in Jerusalem (Exodus 23:14-19). Joel 2:16 emphasizes gathering the nation to seek the Lord’s restoration. These and other references emphasize the importance of God’s people coming together in mass at times. When we do, the agreement taking place accomplishes things in the spirit realm that cannot occur as we gather in our smaller gatherings.

Also, there is something incredibly transformative about praying at seats of power–not only for the nation, but for the individual. I can safely say that God has used visits to Washington, D.C., to accomplish much in my heart. There is something about taking a stand in our nation’s capital – as both a citizen of heaven and of America – that is incredibly significant. My emotions have run the gamut when doing so, from overwhelming travail to exultant, powerful decrees. If you have never made such a pilgrimage, this would be a great time to do so. During my visits, not only have I been used by God, I have been marked. Nothing has caused me to “take ownership” of our country more than my visits to pray in Washington, D.C. Holy Spirit has reminded me many times while there, “Take ownership of this nation – it belongs to you.”

Why Communion?

The Lord has informed numerous leaders over the past few years that Communion would play a significant role in the coming revival. This is not a new phenomenon, by the way. The great Red River Meeting House and Cane Ridge revivals of the 1800s were born out of Communion. Those revivals rocked our nation and were used to birth the Second Great Awakening. It is no exaggeration to say that Communion birthed an outpouring of the Holy Spirit that saved our nation.

Why would the Lord choose Communion to launch and be the focal point of revival? The answer seems simple: nothing honors, calls attention to, and reminds us of Christ’s sacrifice and our salvation more than partaking of the Lord’s Table. Imagine the honor He will feel when millions of His family do so together while appealing to Him for our nation. And imagine the terror hell will feel when we do so! Nothing overcomes the powers of darkness like the blood of Jesus. God’s decree of freedom for the human race was written with His blood. It covers the Mercy Seat of heaven and unlocks God’s mercy on earth.

The book of Hebrews says that the blood of Christ “speaks!” (Hebrews 12:24). Indeed, it does. Loudly. I believe its message of freedom will reverberate in the heavens over our nation next week, October 9-12, as millions of us join together to honor and call upon its life-giving power.

Father, we know You relate to people, not just as individuals, but as groups of people. Family units are blessed and cursed, as are cities and entire nations. Nations also possess divine purposes and destinies. We know You raised up America to propagate the gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the Earth. And though we have rejected You and turned from this calling, in Your mercy, You are restoring us. You have said we will experience a great harvest and be used, along with others, to reap an incredible harvest throughout the earth.

Thank You for leading David Bradshaw and Awaken the Dawn to host this Communion gathering on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Now, we ask You to breathe Your life, favor, and blessing into it. Give it wind. Move upon the hearts of many to attend, and millions more to participate online. We ask that through this event, Christ would take His rightful place in our nation. As we partake of the bread and wine next week in D.C. on the grounds of the Washington Mall, arise and scatter Your enemies. Give us great breakthrough in the heavens, shattering strongholds and lifting the veil of darkness off millions of people. Let the power released as we gather merge with the power released from millions of prayers and other significant events in our nation over the past 30+ years. Amalgamate and synchronize the prayers into one explosive release of Your power. We ask for all necessary funds to cover the costs of this event.

Give us more righteous leaders in our three branches of government and impart to them wisdom and understanding, as they seek to transform and reset America back to health. Pour out Your Spirit on our government – let history read that the government of America was transformed by a Third Great Awakening. Awaken it! Enlighten it! Return it to our righteous roots. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

Pray for America: A Time-Sensitive Request-Mobilize Christian to Vote

Editor’s Note: This article is reprinted from Dutch Sheets’ October 23rd  posting of “Give Him 15 Minutes.”

【 Current Events/Background:  God wasted no time before introducing the all-important concept of government in Scripture, doing so in the very first chapter: Genesis 1:26-28. Government is vital. Whether it be in a home, city, nation, or any other grouping of people, God’s intent for government was that it serve people by providing protection (covering), instruction, justice, appropriate and loving discipline, peace, and more (Luke 13:34; 19:44; 1 Timothy 2:1-4; Romans 13:1-4).

Righteous rule (government) is God’s primary method of releasing these necessary actions and outcomes on earth. Proverbs 29:2 tells us that this brings joy to people; when it does not occur, the result is mourning. No wonder He told us to pray first for those in government! (1 Timothy 2:1-4)

The Hebrew word used for “mourn” in Proverbs 29:2, which occurs when the wicked rule, is a strong word. Anach means not only to mourn, but to do so by moaning, even gasping.(1) Proverbs 14:34 adds that the sin these unrighteous rulers produce causes shame and disgrace to a nation.

The ungodly element in America’s government has brought disgrace and mourning by believing it has the right to:

• Kill babies in the womb
• Approve the selling of the aborted babies’ body parts (are you gasping yet?)
• Allow babies born alive during failed abortions to lie unattended until they die
• Redefine what it means to be male and female
• Reject the first covenant God established on earth, marriage, and redefine it using activities He forbade (and celebrate this rebellion with cheering, flags, nudity, and lit-up government buildings)
• Take ownership of children from their parents; they indoctrinate them using pornography and drag queens, even to the point of encouraging the children to be sterilized by drugs or castration (are you mourning yet?)
• And much more

And here is something else that makes me mourn: the American church could easily change all of this, but doesn’t. The reason? Approximately half of evangelicals aren’t registered to vote, and half of those who are still don’t vote. This is mind-boggling. It is an accepted fact that if all evangelical Christians voted and did so according to biblical values, we could control every national election and position godly, Bible-believing leaders in office. This means that in one election cycle, we could begin reversing every evil I just listed. Every one. In America, “We the People” have the amazing freedom to choose who we want to rule over us, and “we the believers” have the numbers to ensure they’ll be leaders who possess God’s biblical values. The church could save the lives of babies, the reproductive future of children, God’s plan for marriage and the family, and America’s freedoms – almost overnight, if we all voted.

Today, I want to focus on making a difference in the great state of Virginia, the covenant root of our nation. At Cape Henry in 1607, Robert Hunt read a covenant that prophesied America’s destiny of sending the gospel of Jesus Christ to the entire world.

Virginia became a battleground over parental rights in the gubernatorial election of 2021. Parents were being persecuted for involving themselves in their children’s school curriculum and activities. The Democrat candidate essentially said parents have no right to determine these issues, while candidate Glenn Youngkin stood up for parents, as did Lieutenant Governor candidate Winsome Sears. Both Youngkin and Sears won, with Winsome Sears becoming the first woman of color to hold a statewide office in Virginia. Both are strong believers.

This year, Governor Youngkin must step down because of term limits in Virginia, and Lt. Governor Winsome Sears is running for the Governor’s seat. Her opponent, Abigail Spanberger, is a liberal who wants to roll back the clock, allowing schools to once again let boys in girls’ sports – and locker rooms, of course – along with other left-leaning positions. Sears, obviously, does not. Regardless of whether or not we live in Virginia, we can help stop this from occurring in this all-important state. Election day is right around the corner, Tuesday, November 4, and they need our help to keep righteous leadership in this Governor’s seat.

It is a wonderful one-stop-shop website where you, the Christian voter, can be educated, informed, prepared, and ready to go to the polls. There, you can find information concerning upcoming elections, articles about upcoming bills in Congress you need to be aware of, and much more. Additionally, they provide simple ways to engage with those who represent us in our State and U.S. Congresses. You can do all of this from home!

Pray for America: 24 Prayers for 24/7 Prayer Against Terror Attacks in America

Editor’s Note: As prophet Chris Reeds mentioned in the message “As is Israel, so is the United States ,” many sleeper cells of terrorist organizations have infiltrated into the United States and established many camps. Like this terrorist attack coming from Israel’s southern border, they are also plotting attacks in the United States through people passing through our southern border.

After President Trump ordered the U.S. Air Force to bomb three Iranian nuclear facilities on June 21, the Iranian government vowed to retaliate. We need to pray, watch, listen, watch, and like the children of Issachar, know the times and seasons. The following prayers are from the 24 prayers in “Elijah’s List”，which was reposted from the prophet Charlie Shamp’s facebook. We encourage all intercessors to pray for the United States under the leadership of Holy Spirit.

1. Heavenly Father, we come before You, seeking Your protection over America. In Psalm 91:4, You promise to cover us with Your feathers and provide refuge under Your wings. Shield our nation from all forms of terrorism and keep us safe from harm.
2. Lord, we declare Your words from Isaiah 54:17, that no weapon formed against America shall prosper. May Your divine protection surround our borders, cities, and people, guarding us against any acts of terror.

9. Gracious God, we pray against any spirit of fear that may try to grip our nation. Replace fear with courage, faith, and resilience, knowing that You are our ultimate Protector.
10. Heavenly Father, in Jeremiah 29:11, You declare that You have plans to prosper us and not to harm us. We trust in Your sovereignty and ask for Your protection over America’s future, shielding us from any terror attacks.
11. Lord, we pray for the families and loved ones affected by past acts of terrorism. Comfort them, heal their wounds, and grant them peace that surpasses all understanding.
12. Almighty God, in Psalm 125:2, You promise that those who trust in You are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken. We put our trust in You, believing that Your protection will prevail over any acts of terrorism.
13. Heavenly Father, we pray for divine intervention to expose and dismantle any terrorist plots before they can be carried out. Foil their plans and protect innocent lives.
14. Lord, we lift up our intelligence agencies, asking for wisdom and insight as they gather information to prevent acts of terrorism. Grant them success in their efforts to keep our nation safe.
15. Gracious God, we ask for Your mercy and grace to fall upon those who may be influenced by extremist ideologies. Bring transformation and healing to their hearts, turning them away from violence and hatred.
16. Heavenly Father, in Psalm 140:4, we pray that You would keep America safe from the hands of the wicked and protect us from those who plan to cause harm.
17. Lord, we pray for a spirit of discernment among our citizens, that we may be alert to potential threats and report any suspicious activities to the authorities promptly.
18. Almighty God, in Psalm 91:3, You promise to deliver us from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. We claim Your protection over America, safeguarding us from all forms of terrorism.

21. Gracious God, we pray for the safety of our transportation systems, airports, and public spaces. Protect them from any potential attacks and ensure the well-being of all who travel within our borders.
22. Heavenly Father, in Psalm 46:1, You declare that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We lean on Your strength and ask for Your protection over America in times of crisis.
23. Lord, we pray for the eradication of extremist ideologies that fuel acts of terrorism. Replace hatred and violence with love and understanding, bringing about lasting peace.

Pray for America: Praying Against the Spirit of Assassination of God’s Purposes and Plans for America

Editor’s Note: This is a prayer guide from Intercessors for America.

There is an ongoing spiritual battle in our nation between the God-ordained plans for America, and the Enemy’s work to thwart it. A spirit of assassination has been unleashed upon our nation. Pray these scriptural prayer points to empower the godly work started at our nation’s founding, and the protection of those whom God chooses
to use to bring it to fruition.

• God brings glory unto Himself. As the evidence of the story of the assassination against Charlie Kirk and other shootings unfold, we appeal to the miraculous hand of God. Pray He would continue to get glory and focus on all who share miraculous stories. “Everyone who is called by My name, whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him” (Is 43:7).
• Redemption of evil plans for God’s good. The Enemy intended evil through the assassination of Charlie Kirk of TPUSA and the multiple attempts on President Trump, but God can instead bring about His divine purposes and redemption. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose (Rom 8:28).
• Visible truth of God working. Pray that the full truth of the ability of God to intervene and to save continues to be central in our nation. We pray that prayer would be the natural response in our nation in times of crisis and that people would see God at work in all situations. Jesus … said, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you” (Mark 5:19 NIV).
• Healing from national trauma from this incident. Like with the President Trump assassination attempt in Butler, PA, many people also saw the assassination of Charlie Kirk and experienced trauma associated with this horrific situation and the state of our nation. For He bruises, but He binds up; He wounds, but His hands make whole. He shall deliver you in six troubles, yes, in seven no evil shall touch you (Job 5:18-19).
• More people would seek God as a result. As President Trump considered his own mortal situation in Butler, and surely many are considering how life is but a vapor, we pray for personal revival among the American people.  And he made from one man every nation of mankind…that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him (Acts 17: 26-27 ESV).
• Lasting commitment to prayer. Often people turn to prayer in crisis. Pray that people would have a lasting commitment and deep desire for prayer that lasts beyond the news cycle. Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving (Col 4:2).
• Physical protection from harm. May we see a continued supernatural protection over leaders in authority and our nation as a whole. Nevertheless we made our prayer to our God, and because of them we set a watch against them day and night (Neh 4:9).
• Courage. The stakes in these days are high as we have witnessed. Pray that people would increase in courage no matter the potential consequence of standing for godly values and taking action to uphold them. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” (Josh 1:9).

Pray for Israel: Current Events and Prayer Focus This Week (10/17)

Editor’s note :  This article is composed base on the prayer letter published by Israel Intercessors Ministry on October 24th, for reference and prayer by intercessors.

【 Current Events/Background: Shabbat’s prophetic portion has many encouraging verses for us and for Israel. God says in Isaiah 54:10 that His covenant-love and mercy towards His people endures for all eternity: For the mountains shall depart, and the hills removed; but My covenant-love shall not depart from you, nor shall the covenant of My peace be removed, says YHWH who has mercy on you.

Government & society

We are grateful for how most Israelis are united in not proceeding to the next phase of US President Trump’s plan for Gaza until Hamas returns all the dead bodies of Israel’s hostages. We also must not forget to pray for Israel’s leaders (1 Tim. 2:1-4).

Foreign relations

Globalism wants to erase all nationalism and create a One World Order. That this is not God’s will is clear as we read of the Tower of Babel in Shabbat’s Torah portion, which was humanity’s first attempt to do this (Gen. 11:9). God’s concern remains that if humanity is united without knowing Him, the result would be far worse that what we can even imagine.

It is infuriating to hear Trump and others in his administration telling Israel what it can or cannot do with Gaza, as well as with Judea and Samaria. I personally felt betrayed by what they said this past week, and so should every American believer who voted for Trump based, at least partly, on his commitment to be Israel’s best friend. It is hard to discern how God would have us pray, although the very fact that He still reigns (Psa. 103:19) and was not taken by surprise by this turn of events gives us confidence to continue to intercede for His will to be done on earth (Luke 11:2).

Internal security

A great danger of Trump’s Gaza plan is the hope it gives to Western and Arab nations that it will lead to a “Palestinian State” on God’s land. Yet ever since the Oct. 7th Hamas massacre, this is no longer an option for most Israelis. This week, Israel’s parliament, the Knesset, passed a bill calling for Israel to extend sovereignty over all of Judea and Samaria, and while this was proposed by the opposition parties specifically to put Bibi and his coalition in a bind with America – which it did – still we say “amen” to the idea of extending sovereignty over His land.

External security – Middle East [ME] and beyond

There is a grave danger in having Qatar, Turkey and Egypt closely working with the US to oversee Gaza’s future. Qatar and Turkey, both Muslim Brotherhood supporting nations, are enemies of Israel and America. Yet Trump, Witkoff and Kushner all have financial dealings with Qatar which likely influences them greatly. So we already hear blame being cast on Bibi for not abiding to Trump’s ceasefire plan, while they make excuses for Hamas not being able to keep to their end of the agreement (Num. 24:9b).

Aliyah

Isaiah 54:7-8 in the prophetic portion indicates that the 2,000 year old captivity of the Jews out in the nations is seen by God as a small moment and just a little wrath! Yet with great mercies He says that He will gather His people. And this is what we are seeing today.

Salvation

There are two very interesting verses in the prophetic portion that can be use as fuel for praying for the salvation of God’s chosen people – the Jews.

Pray for Israel: Sustained by Faith: The Hostages Clung to Judaism in the Darkest Places

【 Current Events/Background:  Recently freed hostages are revealing extraordinary stories of courage, faith, and the unbreakable Jewish spirit that carried them through the darkest depths of captivity.

Matan Angrest: Tefillin in Gaza tunnels

Wounded and tortured, 20-year-old Israeli tank soldier Matan Angrest was dragged into Gaza, the only survivor from his tank crew after the October 7th Hamas attack. Throughout his two years of captivity, he stood up to his captors and asserted himself as a proud Jew.

Matan recalls, “I demanded tefillin, a prayer book, and a Tanakh. Somehow, they brought them. From that day on, I prayed three times a day — morning, afternoon, and night. It gave me strength. It protected me.”

As a soldier, Matan was subjected to especially severe torture. His mother, Anat, says, “He remembers being beaten so badly that he lost consciousness. They covered him with black sacks and dragged him away.” In addition to physical torture, Matan was subjected to psychological torture: he was told that Israel had given up on him, that Hamas was going to conquer Israel, and that his maternal grandparents were dead.

Upon his release, he was greatly relieved to discover that they were alive. Despite such brutal treatment, Matan refused to break, says Anat.

For most of his captivity, Matan was held with Gali Berman, who was also released in the recent ceasefire. Gali had a copy of the Torah and they read it together repeatedly. Matan says, “I know every Torah portion by heart.”

At one point, Matan was held together with Keith Siegel, who was released in a hostage deal in February 2025. Keith recalls that Matan maintained a positive attitude. He says, “Matan and I were held in a small, sealed room, without light. Matan kept a good mood, despite what he went through. We kept each other strong, and we laughed together.”

For the last four months of his captivity, Matan was held alone in a small, dark tunnel, under special guard. When asked how he managed alone in the tunnel, Matan replied, “I tried to remain optimistic. I sang to myself… I prayed three times a day. My faith strengthened me very much.”

Doctors at Ichilov Medical Center, where Matan recuperated for four days after his release, reported that despite severe physical wounds, Matan’s spirit remains strong.

Two days after his return from Gaza, Matan told the IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir that he would like to return to active duty in the IDF. That same day, Matan left the hospital to attend the funeral of his tank commander, Daniel Peretz, who was killed on October 7th. Peretz’s body was kidnapped by Hamas and returned as part of the ceasefire deal.

At Peretz’s funeral, Matan delivered a heartfelt eulogy and promised the family, “Everywhere I go, he will be with me always.” He also stated that he is ready to go back to Gaza to retrieve the body of another member of his tank crew, Itay Chen, that is still held by Hamas.

Matan’s faith sustained him throughout his ordeal and continues to guide him as he recovers. As he says, “Even in the deepest tunnels, the soul can’t be taken captive.”

Rom Braslavski: I am a Jew

Only 19 at the time of Hamas attack, Rom Braslavski refused to flee from the Nova festival, where he worked as a security guard. He stayed to help others escape, to take care of the wounded, and to prevent the terrorists from kidnapping the bodies of the dead. Rom fought terrorists by throwing rocks at them and encouraging others to do the same.

Rom’s mother, Tami, says, “He did not see fear. He did not see death. He only saw one thing: how he could help, encourage, and save as many people as possible.” Unfortunately, Rom’s rescue efforts were brought to an end by about 3 p.m., when he was captured by terrorists from the Islamic Jihad.

Throughout his two long years of captivity, Rom clung to his faith. Released hostage Sasha Trufanov, who was held together with Rom for some time, reported that Rom would begin each morning with reciting the Modeh Ani and Shema prayers, thanking God for keeping him alive.

In Gaza, Rom was held in harsh conditions, deprived of food and basic necessities. In the beginning, he was shackled by all four limbs in a tiny room and given only half a piece of dry flatbread and a bit of rice each evening.

Starving and desperate for food, one day Rom managed to break free of his shackles and tried to cook some pasta. The gas wasn’t working, so he started a fire with a book and some clothes he found in the apartment. Unfortunately, the neighbors smelled fire and banged on the windows. Afraid for his life, Rom hid under a bed as dozens of Gazans stormed into the apartment.

His mother says, “He felt them above the mattress. They saw the shackles, realized a hostage was there, and began searching.” Rom feared that he would be lynched by the angry mob. He remained in his hiding place, praying. Unexpectedly, his captor arrived, and the crowd dispersed. His captor did not punish him.

Rom’s captors also applied psychological torture, telling him that Iran had bombed Israel and nearly destroyed it and that 3,000 soldiers had died.

The captors also pressured Rom to convert to Islam, promising more food and better conditions. Rom absolutely refused, telling them, “I am a strong Jew!” His mother says, “Rom insisted on preserving his Jewish identity. The moment he came back, he put on tefillin.”

From the Sheba Medical Center, where Rom is recuperating, he recalls, “The only thing that gave me strength was knowing that everyone around me wasn’t Jewish, and that the reason I was there was simply because I’m a Jew.”

Rom’s message to the Jewish people is, “we need to go back to being a united people. People should start keeping mitzvot and understand what it means to be Jewish. Look at what happened to me, what they did to me, just because I’m a Jew. That means a Jew should understand he is in a higher place, different from someone who isn’t Jewish. We need to strengthen Judaism, and I hope the people of Israel remain united.”

Bar Kupershtein: Finding God in the darkest places

Like Rom, 21-year-old Bar Kupershtein worked as a security guard at the Nova festival and refused to abandon his post when Hamas attacked. A paramedic, Bar cared for the wounded and assisted in their evacuation until he was kidnapped and taken to Gaza.

In Gaza, Bar was starved, beaten, and tortured. His mother, Julie, shared, “He tells me the stories and I sit across from him crying, realizing my son is strong, a hero, and there’s no one like him in the world. He told me: ‘Mom, they beat me, but I didn’t feel it — my body was frozen.’ He said it was all in the mind, as if he trained his brain not to think about the pain at all — and he survived.”

Throughout this horrific ordeal, Bar never lost hope. He always tried to help others. Julie says, “He has golden hands. He fixed the electricity, dug the waste pit, built them a water channel, made a small area in the tunnel where they could sit alone when things were hard.”

Bar experienced many life-threatening situations and felt that he was saved by miracles. “He took upon himself a mitzvah of charity, and told himself that he had 200 shekels in his wallet at home, and when he got out of captivity he would donate it — and that would save him,” says Julie.

Bar tried to keep other mitzvot as well. This past Yom Kippur, he fasted and recited the prayers he remembered.

When he was released, he surprised his family by requesting a pair of tzitzit to wear. His mother shares that Bar’s connection to Judaism strengthened in captivity. Before, “[he] had faith, he was somewhat traditional — but not like [now]. There were Muslims there who prayed to the Creator as well, and they observed all the holidays and fasts, and he said if they’re doing it, then he also wants to be close to the Creator.”

Julie concludes, “A person in darkness, in the inferno — I think the first thing is to connect with the Creator, to try and save yourself somehow. He had a dialogue with God. He would say [the] Shema [prayer] often, he prayed, and recited a chapter of Psalms he knew by heart.”

Bar says that what gave him the most strength in Gaza was the song Afilu B’hastara, a favorite of his mother’s, written over two centuries ago by Rabbi Nachman of Breslov. The lyrics state that God is found even in the darkest places. In captivity, Bar used to sing this song to himself over and over again. After his release, a video circulated showing him singing this song together with his family.

In a powerful video message posted by StandWithUs, Bar addresses the world after his release. “I want to thank everyone who prayed, supported, and never gave up,” he says. “Most importantly, I want to thank the Creator of the World, our Father in Heaven.”

Pray for Israel: Isaiah 62 Prayer Campaign: Prayer Letter for October 2025

【Background:  Editor’s note :  On the Hebrew calendar, we have just entered the month of Tishrei. This is a very special month as we celebrate the beginning of a new season on God’s timetable – the Jewish New Year, and the start of the Fall High Holidays. This is a truly unique time to align our hearts with His Word.

The Fall Feasts begin with the Feast of Trumpets, also called Yom Teruah or Rosh Hashana. This is primarily a day of reckoning, when the Jewish people reflect on whether their names will be written in the Book of Life. The shofar blast is a call to awaken the soul, to repent, and to prepare our hearts for appearing before the Lord. It is also about our voice. Will we be bold to speak truth and righteousness, to stand with the Jewish people, and to speak comfort to them as Scripture commands (Isaiah 40:1-2; Romans 11:30-31). For believers in Yeshua, it also points to the day when the final trumpet will sound at the return of Jesus, the righteous Judge, who will require an account of each of us – whether we have truly believed in Him and lived lives of faith and obedience. He also will judge the nations regarding how they treated the brethren of Jesus, the Jewish people and the nation of Israel (Matthew 25:31-46; Joel 3:1-3).

Following this comes the Ten Days of Awe, a time of reflection and repentance leading up to Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, the holiest day of the year for Israel. On this day, the high priest would enter the Holy of Holies to make atonement for the people, pointing to the ultimate sacrifice of Yeshua, our Messiah. For believers, Yom Kippur reveals both the seriousness of sin and the depth of God’s mercy, as we rejoice in the complete forgiveness we have through the blood of Jesus. It calls us to humble ourselves before the Lord, walking in repentance, reconciliation and renewed devotion (Leviticus 23:26-32).

The cycle culminates with the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot), a week of joy and celebration which also recalls the time when God provided for Israel as they dwelt in booths in the Wilderness. Prophetically, it points to the dwelling of God with His people, which will be fulfilled when Jesus stands on the Mount of Olives to reign as King. God’s presence is already with us through communion with the Holy Spirit and will one day cover the earth as the waters cover the sea (Isaiah 11:9). When Jesus is reigning in Jerusalem, we will witness all nations coming up to Jerusalem to worship Him (Leviticus 23:33-44; Zechariah 14:16).

Indeed, Sukkot reminds us of our dependence on God, our identity as pilgrims on this earth, and the promise of His coming kingdom. Together, the Fall Feasts paint a prophetic picture: the trumpet of awakening, the cleansing of atonement, and the joy of dwelling with God. They are shadows of Israel’s history but also future signposts, anchoring us in God’s redemptive plan. They invite us to live with urgency, gratitude and hope, to be a people found watching and waiting, with hearts prepared for Messiah’s return, resting in His finished work, and rejoicing in His promise to dwell with us forever (2 Corinthians 5:1-8).

Critical Event: China’s underground Christian churches face intensified persecution

【Current background: Members of China’s underground Zion Church are facing large-scale arrests. Since Thursday (9th), about 30 pastors and church members have been taken away by police across the country.

According to the Human Rights Network, the Zion Church issued a statement on Saturday saying, “Since October 9, 2025, the Chinese government has launched simultaneous operations in Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Shandong, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan and other places to arrest pastors, preachers and congregants of the Zion Church on a large scale. As of now, more than 30 pastoral leaders and believers have been detained and lost contact, their meeting places have been sealed off, their property has been confiscated, and the families of some co-workers have also been threatened and harassed.”

The statement said, “All the arrested Zion Church pastors and believers are innocent Christians. Their only ‘crime’ is to peacefully worship God, faithfully preach the truth of the Bible, shepherd the flock, and care for their neighbors. These basic religious behaviors should be protected by the constitution and international human rights conventions in any society under the rule of law.”

The group called on the authorities to “immediately stop the arrests, threats and harassment of Zion Church and other house churches; immediately and unconditionally release all detained and missing pastors and believers; respect and protect the right of Chinese citizens to exercise freedom of religious belief in accordance with the law.” It also pointed out that “the international community, governments and religious freedom organizations are paying attention to this matter and are condemning and demanding accountability from the Chinese government.”

This incident has garnered widespread attention in the American media. The Wall Street Journal reported that Jin Mingri, pastor of the Zion Church, had tirelessly built one of China’s largest underground Christian churches over the years, with branches in 40 cities nationwide. The online prayer groups he helped lead sometimes reached tens of thousands of members. Even after moving to the United States for the safety of his wife and three children, both American citizens, Jin Mingri remained in China to lead the Zion Church, fully aware of the risks he faced.

“His congregants needed him,” said Jin’s daughter, Grace Jin Drexel, 31, a U.S. Senate staffer who lives near Washington. Jin’s recent detention by Chinese authorities, along with the detention or disappearance of more than 20 individuals associated with the Zion Church, marks an escalating crackdown on underground Christian churches. As of Sunday, it was unclear whether Jin had been formally charged. China’s Ministry of Public Security did not respond to a request for comment.

The Associated Press reported that Jin Mingri was detained at his home in Beihai City, Guangxi Province, on Friday evening. He was among dozens of church leaders detained in Beijing and at least five other Chinese provinces. The Zion Church is one of the largest so-called underground churches, or house churches, in China that are not registered with the authorities. They defy Chinese government restrictions requiring worshippers to congregants in registered churches.

Grace told reporters, “After the COVID-19 outbreak, the Zion Church revived, much to the government’s chagrin.” During a nationwide crackdown in 2018, many underground churches were targeted, and the Zion Church’s main meeting place was closed. However, during the pandemic, the Zion Church held online prayer meetings, attracting believers who were unable to attend government-approved services due to pandemic restrictions, and its membership grew.

Sean Long, a Chinese-American pastor of the church who is currently studying in the United States, told the Associated Press that the number of Zion Church members has increased from about 1,500 in 2018 to about 5,000 today, and it has more than 100 places of worship in about 40 cities in China, including apartments, restaurants and even karaoke bars.

Reports indicate that the Zion Church, founded in 2007, is an unregistered house church with a presence in over 40 Chinese cities, with Sunday services attended by up to 5,000 people. In 2019, the church’s main Beijing location was forcibly closed, and its lead pastor, Jin Mingri, was placed under “border control,” preventing him from leaving the country to reunite with his family. Since early 2025, Zion Church branches in several cities across China have been investigated and staff have been interviewed.

Grace said her father, Jin Mingri, brought his family to the United States after authorities targeted the Zion Church in 2018. But he decided to return despite the risks. She hasn’t seen her father in six years.

Holding back tears, Grace told reporters: “He felt that as a pastor, he had to be with his congregants. He had always been prepared to deal with this kind of thing.” In recent months, other underground churches in China have also faced pressure.

In Washington, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio posted on social media platform X on Sunday: “The United States condemns the Chinese Communist Party’s recent detention of dozens of leaders of the unregistered Zion Church, including the prominent pastor Mingri ‘Ezra’ Jin. We call for their immediate release.”

Dear family in Christ, peace be with you!

In 2025, a new wave of religious persecution is emerging across China. In May of this year, the widely respected Pastor Gao Quanfu in Xi’an was detained on criminal charges of “using religious superstition to undermine law enforcement.” In June, several church workers from the Golden Lampstand Church in Linfen were sentenced to multiple years in prison for “fraud,” including Pastor Yang Rongli, who received 15 years. Furthermore, various churches across the country are experiencing increasing repression and persecution, particularly targeting Zion Church.

Zion Church is a Chinese house church (unregistered) adhering to orthodox Christian beliefs. Founded in Beijing in 2007 by Pastor Jin Mingri, Zion Church rapidly grew into one of China’s largest emerging urban churches, with approximately 1,500 members. In 2018, Zion Church experienced brutal persecution, with hundreds of members threatened and pressured by religious officials and local police to prevent them from participating in the church. On September 9, 2018, Zion Church was forcibly shut down by the government, and all church property was confiscated. Since 2018, Pastor Jin Mingri has been restricted from traveling abroad by the government, and for seven years, he has been unable to reunite with his wife and children in the United States.

Over the past six or seven years, despite the dual challenges of persecution and the pandemic, Zion Church has established over 100 small-scale church plants in approximately 40 cities across China, using a hybrid online and offline model. Over the years, Zion Church has been subject to government repression, with many pastoral staff and believers harassed, threatened, interrogated, and even briefly detained by police. In 2025, government persecution of Zion Church sites significantly intensified. Meeting points in dozens of cities were frequently disrupted, and over 150 brothers and sisters were taken to police stations. Eleven pastoral staff were placed under administrative detention (usually for 14 days).

Since October 9, 2025, nearly 30 pastors and co-workers of Zion Church across the country have been detained or lost contact: On the afternoon of the 9th, Pastor Wang Lin, who is in charge of the Yangtze River Delta pastoral area of ​​Zion Church, was taken away by the police at Shenzhen Bao’an Airport and lost contact with his family. The police refused to inform his family of the specific information of the detention center.

• On the evening of the 10th, Zion Church Senior Pastor Jin Mingri and Pastor Yin Huibin were detained by multiple police officers at their residence in Beihai City, Guangxi Province, and are currently missing. Additionally, over a dozen pastoral staff and their families in Beihai are also missing.
• Between 9 p.m. and 2 a.m. on the 10th, several pastors and preachers from the Zion Church in Beijing were arrested by Beihai City police. They included Pastors Gao Yingjia, Wang Cong, Sun Cong, Pastor Misha, and Sister Xiaoyu. Their homes were searched, and their computers and cell phones were confiscated.
• On the evening of the 10th, preacher Zhan Ge was arrested by Beihai police in Jiaxing, Zhejiang, and forcibly taken back to Beihai for detention overnight. Brother Bei Ze was taken away at Shanghai Hongqiao Airport and has lost contact.
• At 7:00 a.m. on the 11th, Pastor Liu Zhenbin was taken away by police in Huangdao, Shandong, and his home was searched. That same morning, Pastor Mu Chenglin was arrested in Chengdu and has since disappeared.

According to family members who witnessed the incident, the law enforcement officers were from the Yinhai District Police Station in Beihai City, Guangxi Province. Police had a wanted list. Officers produced arrest and search warrants issued on September 26th of this year. Currently, several Zion Church staff are being detained at Beihai No. 2 Detention Center and may face criminal charges for “illegal dissemination of religious information via the internet.”

Why are so many Christians in China who love God and others, and who keep their promises and laws, treated unfairly like criminals? Jesus already gave us the answer:   “If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you” (John 15:18).    However, “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:10).

We implore brothers and sisters around the world to pray earnestly for Zion Church and the Chinese church, and to offer solidarity and support. Let us imitate Jesus’ prayer in Gethsemane before his crucifixion ( Luke 22:42 ): “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.” Glory to the Lord!

Critical Event: Christian Genocide in Nigeria: ‘Systematic Killing’

【Background: Comedian and HBO host Bill Maher — an atheist — is sounding the alarm on behalf of Christians.

The “Real Time with Bill Maher” host spoke on his talk show Friday about the plight of believers in Nigeria, where a little-covered Christian genocide is underway. Christians there, he said, are being “systematically killed,” calling out the hypocrisy of those hyper-focused on Gaza while ignoring a bonafide assault against a people group in the African country.

“[T]he fact that this issue has not gotten on people’s radar, it’s pretty amazing,” he said. “If you don’t know what’s going on in Nigeria, your media sources suck; you are in a bubble.”

Maher continued, “I’m not a Christian, but they are systematically killing the Christians in Nigeria. They’ve killed over a hundred thousand since 2009. They’ve burned 18,000 churches. These are the Islamists, Boko Haram. This is so much more of a genocide attempt than what is going on in Gaza. They are literally attempting to wipe out the Christian population of an entire country.”

“Where are the kids protesting this?” Maher asked.

In August, the Nigeria-based NGO International Society for Civil Liberties and the Rule of Law reported Islamic jihadists have killed 125,009 Christians since 2009, with 19,100 churches burned down in the same time period. And, since the beginning of this year, terrorists have murdered more than 7,000 Christians have been killed in Nigeria.

Open Doors, a watchdog for Christian persecution, ranks Nigeria as No. 7 on its World Watch List.

“According to Open Doors research,” the organization reported, “more Christians are killed for their faith in Nigeria than in the rest of the world combined.”

The Firstborn Connection Affects the Spiritual Landscape – From Kedao to Washington: Taiwanese Indigenous Peoples Cross the Sea to Bless Indigenous Peoples in All 50 States of the United States, Passing the Torch of Revival!

【Current events/Background:  Enoch Malay (Teacher Ah Hong) of the Kingdom Pioneer Association shared that last year (2024) marked the 400th anniversary of the Gospel and the 30th anniversary of the restoration of the name of the Indigenous peoples. From the Indigenous revival, the rise of the Hakka people, the rise of youth, and the women’s prayer movement, within eight months, the entire national revival movement entered a new season across different levels and ethnic groups . “God quickly brought us to the international stage!”

As a native of the Republic of China, I bless the United States.

In April of this year (2025), the team accompanied Elder Zhang Qiming and his wife from the TOD David Tabernacle Center to a church in the United States to celebrate Passover. Pastor Chuck Pierce was deeply moved by the series of revival movements in Taiwan. He specially invited them to the stage and presented them with a “covenant ring,” blessing Taiwan to become a country that “brings revival to the nations of Asia.”

At that time, an idea emerged in Enoch Malay’s mind: ” I want to bless the United States as an indigenous person of the Republic of China. ” However, he chose not to take action at the time, and he could not help but feel uneasy.

May we sow the seeds of a Native American renaissance

Later, through TOD connections, the team returned to the United States to serve twice more, and God again inspired him: ” We must come to the United States for this year’s Feast of Tabernacles to sow seeds of revival for the Native American revival movement!” But where should we bless? It was not until September 29th, when Enoch Marais shared his burden with his IHOP colleagues, that they learned that during the Feast of Tabernacles, inspired by Charlie Kirk, “Awaken the Dawn” would hold a “Communion AMerica” ​​in front of the U.S. Capitol.

Later, through the reminder of the intercessor, on September 30, we contacted Pastor Peng Rongren on the East Coast of the United States, and learned from him that on the eve of this communion meeting, All Tribes will hold a ” Native American Parade” and Native Americans from all over the United States will gather together!

Enoch Malay and his colleagues were also invited to walk in the procession carrying the Ark of the Covenant as “Taiwanese Aboriginals,” holding the “Republic of China flag” and wearing their ethnic costumes.

Bringing the torch of Taiwan’s indigenous revitalization work to the United States

Enoch Marais saw that Taiwan, located on the east side of the Pacific Ocean, and the United States, located on the west side of the Pacific Ocean, were connected by a bridge . The torch of unity that God released on the territory of Taiwan through the “Indigenous Revival” would be ignited in the United States!

“Israel, Taiwan, and the United States are the three propellers in God’s end-time blueprint.” He pointed out that Taiwan is a pioneer torchbearer, destined to bless Asia, the nations, and even Jerusalem. It will bring the torch to the United States, and the United States will bless Europe and ultimately Israel.

He firmly believes that the revival of a country must be related to its indigenous people, and is about ” restoring their identity” and “identification with the land.”

This unprecedented blueprint was something he had never imagined. Recalling his first return from the United States, he felt that he had “received a path he had never walked before.” His second visit to the United States brought him a “path of no regrets.” Before leaving for the United States this time, he heard God say, “This is the path I have prepared for you!” It was like Moses taking off his shoes and standing on holy ground.

Experiencing God’s quick provision beyond our expectations

Once the trip was confirmed, Enoch Marais sent his first prayer letter and, within just three days, experienced God’s swift provision. Due to budgetary constraints, they initially couldn’t bring their three children along. But seeing their eager eyes, the family decided to pray together—if they could raise $100,000 by the next day, they would go together. Unexpectedly, the next day, an intercessor donated $90,000, and a lawyer donated another $10,000, bringing the total to exactly $100,000.

 Later, we even raised enough money to cover the flights and local car rentals for the accompanying pastors, team members, and photographers . A local sister in Washington, D.C., even offered to stay with her family, and people continued to donate to cover the team’s meals. We truly experienced God’s abundant provision!

Indigenous peoples from Taiwan and the US establish alliance  

On that day, after presenting gifts to Native Americans and concluding the blessing prayer ceremony, Enomalai felt the united participation of the Native American people. They longed for more people to bless them, and there was a new breakthrough in the overall atmosphere. At the same time, they also honored Taiwan and prayed for Taiwan. Taiwan, after years of baptism by the First Son Movement, has become a good example.

I believe this year is a “startup year ,” and the next decade will be crucial. Two hundred years after the 1830 Removal Act (2030), Oklahoma, once a valley of tears, will become a land of glory. San Diego, at the gateway to the West Coast, will be ignited and revived. A wave of progress will spread from the West Coast to the heart of Central America—Oklahoma—and to Florida in the East Coast.

The team presented indigenous totem cultural products, keychains, earrings, and special Atayal picture frames to local leaders, releasing the torch that God has ignited in Taiwan through the United States. This also represented the establishment of a covenant relationship between the eldest sons, officially initiating Taiwan’s blessing of the United States. The United States will enter its destiny, the eldest son will regain his identity, and the land will be revived.

The firstborn sons of the land will unite to form a spiritual United Nations

In an interview after the meeting, Pastor Qiu Chuanlong of Grace Bread of Life Church shared the importance of the firstborn of the land, and the connection between them is a sacred covenant that God considers beautiful. Taiwan is a missionary nation and the first domino in the chain of events that will affect all nations. Therefore, Taiwan’s indigenous peoples are destined to influence all nations.

On September 17th of this year, 17 Indigenous tribes gathered in Dapu Township, Chiayi County, to align themselves and offer sacrifices to God. God then opened the doors of the nations for these Indigenous peoples to come to the United States and connect with them. The firstborn of the land holds authority. When firstborns connect with firstborns, lands connect with lands, and tribes connect with tribes, it will trigger spiritual tectonic shifts and bring influence to different lands.

Recalling September 1st, God clearly stated, “You must promote a great awakening among the indigenous peoples,” because awakening will bring repentance, healing , restoration , unity , and ultimately, revival . In connection and ignition, these will occur simultaneously, returning to God’s destiny and revival. When all the firstborn of the land connect with one another, becoming a spiritual United Nations, spiritual government will be impacted.

This trip to the United States confirmed the Great Awakening movement. The connection between the eldest sons of the land will drive the recovery and healing of the land. At the same time, the heavenly government will influence the earthly government. Qiu Chuanlong believes that the original conflict of interests between Taiwan and the United States will change.

During this worship with the Native Americans, he felt that God has given the Native Americans the authority and anointing of forgiveness. When the firstborn of the land first stands up firmly and declares forgiveness to the country and the tribe, there will be a great restoration of the land, and the faith of the entire country will be turned upside down, without even waiting for the government to apologize!

Spiritually forgive the government

Brian, a Native American, shared that his spiritual father founded All Tribe DC in 2016 to gather Native American communities to work on spiritual forgiveness, with the core object of forgiveness being the U.S. government. The fruit of forgiveness occurs in the spiritual realm. When people forgive, God removes the heavy stone from their hearts, bringing them freedom.

This time, Taiwanese aboriginals shared a “blueprint for unity” and established a beautiful covenant with Native Americans. God gave the aboriginals authority over the land because they were the first people to inhabit it. Therefore, the connection between them and the unity in Jesus Christ are extremely important.

Pray for First Nations: Are Jews Indigenous to the Land of Israel?

【Current events/Background:  As an indigenous activist—I am a Métis from the Paddle Prairie Metis settlement in Alberta, Canada—there is one question I am most often asked by the public, one that can instantly divide a community due to its intense and arduous subject matter.

Yet, regardless of the scenario, each time I hear the words, “Are Jews the indigenous people of Israel?” I’m inclined to answer not only with my heart but with the brutal, honest truth, backed by indisputable, thousands-year-old historical and archaeological fact: yes.

While evidence in favor of this view is overwhelming, activists who oppose Israel’s right to exist and deny the Jewish people’s connection to the land—perhaps before learning where indigenous status stems from and what it means—still have an issue with this claim, supporting a narrative built on falsehoods that today is basically acknowledged as fact.

It is my belief that strengthening Jewish identity is the optimum way to fight against the perpetuation of false narratives and lies. This can be achieved only through an indigenous decolonization of Jewish identity, which would urge Jews to see themselves through a Jewish lens and manifest the indigenous aspects of Jewish identity in a meaningful way.

Now, to understand indigeneity, one must also understand indigenous people, how we see ourselves, and how we see the world. At its simplest, indigenous status stems from the genesis of a culture, language, and traditions in conjunction with its connections to an ancestral land, most commonly derived from ties to pre-colonial peoples. Once a people have such a cultural, linguistic, and spiritual genesis as well as a coalescence as a people, they are generally acknowledged as an indigenous people.

An anthropologist named José Martínez Cobo, who served as the UN’s special rapporteur on discrimination against indigenous populations, developed a simple checklist in order to make indigenous status easier to understand. Even though that checklist has since been adjusted—I would argue, to fit the UN’s anti-Israel agenda—it remains the standard for most anthropologists in the field today:

Indigenous communities, peoples and nations are those which, having a historical continuity with pre-invasion and pre-colonial societies that developed on their territories, consider themselves distinct from other sectors of the societies now prevailing on those territories, or parts of them. They form at present nondominant sectors of society and are determined to preserve, develop and transmit to future generations their ancestral territories, and their ethnic identity, as the basis of their continued existence as peoples, in accordance with their own cultural patterns, social institutions and legal system.

This historical continuity may consist of the continuation, for an extended period reaching into the present of one or more of the following factors:

1. Occupation of ancestral lands, or at least of part of them;
2. Common ancestry with the original occupants of these lands;
3. Culture in general, or in specific manifestations (such as religion, living under a tribal system, membership of an indigenous community, dress, means of livelihood, lifestyle, etc.);
4. Language (whether used as the only language, as mother-tongue, as the habitual means of communication at home or in the family, or as the main, preferred, habitual, general or normal language);
5. Residence on certain parts of the country, or in certain regions of the world;
6. Other relevant factors.

As a guideline, the Martínez Cobo study is fairly clear and gives us a way to avoid falling prey to false claims. However, there is one section—which, as far as I can tell, wasn’t in Cobo’s earliest definition—that has been referred to as problematic by many indigenous activists. This section refers to “nondominant sectors of society,” which is directly related to the issue of Jews as an indigenous people. It implies that by being “nondominant,” you have yet to realize self-determination. Ergo, if a group has achieved self-determination (i.e., the Jewish people or the Fijians), they will no longer meet the checklist as indigenous.

Seeing how the goal of all indigenous peoples is to achieve self-determination on their ancestral lands, it’s basically the most egregious example of a Catch-22.

You might be wondering why this seemingly throwaway line about “prevailing societies and non-dominant sectors” was included when it’s so clearly counterintuitive to our goals as indigenous peoples. It is my belief that it was inserted to deny indigenous status to one specific people, in fact, the only people who have actually achieved full self-determination on their ancestral lands: the Jewish people.

Why else would the United Nations include a caveat that basically denies indigenous peoples’ identity if we actually win in our struggle?

Archaeology, genealogy, and history all support the Jewish claim to indigeneity. A debate on this issue only even exists because we’ve been fed a false narrative that Palestinian Arabs also hold a claim to the land of Israel. Not to say that two peoples can’t be indigenous to one land. The Palestinians do indeed have the legitimate “rights of longstanding presence” in Israel, but this does not trump the indigenous status of Jewish people, 90 percent of whom can directly trace their genetics to the Levant. The cultural genesis, spirituality, language, and ancestral ties of Palestinian Arabs, however, trace back to the Hejaz (a region in present-day Saudi Arabia). In the Quran, the Hejaz is where Muhammad was born and where he established a community of followers.

To say that Palestinian Arabs were the first inhabitants of the land of Israel is problematic for actual indigenous people like the Jewish people, the Amazigh, the Copts, the Assyrians, the Samaritans, and others who were forcefully conquered, subsumed, and converted. It would literally be akin to white Europeans in North America making that same claim. Conquering peoples can still become indigenous through cultural genesis and coalescence. They cannot, however, become indigenous simply through conquering indigenous people.

Indigenous status is specific to certain areas, just as in North America, where certain tribes are indigenous to specific regions. The same rules should be applied in the Middle East. Just as the Cree would not claim Mohawk territories, Arabs should not try to claim Jewish, Amazigh, Kurdish, or Assyrian territories. Each of those peoples have clearly defined territories that date to pre-colonial times.

The primary argument promoting the false narrative that Jews are not indigenous to the land of Israel is that they are actually the descendants of European colonizers. This can be easily rebuked. Recent studies support the notion that some 80 percent of Jewish males, and 50 percent of Jewish females, can trace their ancestry to the Middle East. Early population genetics studies also confirm that “most Jewish Diaspora groups originated in the Middle East.”

Another study shows that even the first European Ashkenazi Jews were at least half Middle Eastern.

The next argument against Jews being an indigenous people derives from the fact that Abraham was from Ur. And, while he is considered the father of the Jewish people, they did not become a people in Ur but in the Levant—specifically, in modern-day Judea and Samaria.

According to Jewish tradition and spirituality, the Torah was given to the Jewish people at Mount Sinai, but they had their cultural Genesis in the land of Israel. Of the 613 mitzvot, the vast majority can only be completed in the land of Israel. The Patriarchs and Matriarchs of the Jewish people are all buried in the land of Israel. The holiest sites in Judaism are located—you guessed it—in the land of Israel. Abraham was indeed from Ur, but the people who stemmed from him are, without a doubt, from Israel.

This is closely related to the issue of Jerusalem, which both Palestinian Muslims and Israeli Jews claim as their own. One need only look to the Tanakh, where Jerusalem is mentioned an astounding 699 times, and then to the Quran, where Jerusalem is not mentioned even once, to resolve this dispute.

Then there is the Canaanite argument, a relatively newer piece of Palestinian propaganda that argues—because the Torah claims that the Canaanites were driven out by the Israelites—that Jews are therefore not indigenous to Israel. Archaeologists suggest, however, that the Canaanites were in fact not destroyed at all, but subsumed by the ascendant Hebrew people.

It appears that once Palestinian Arabs realized their claim to being descendants of the Philistines was false—as the Philistines, derived from the Hebrew word peleshet, have no connection ethnically, linguistically, or historically to the people of Arabia—they decided that they were descended from Canaanites instead.

In a 2012 speech, a spokesperson for Mahmoud Abbas said, “The nation of Palestine upon the land of Canaan had a 7,000-year history B.C.E. This is the truth, which must be understood, and we have to note it, in order to say: ‘Netanyahu, you are incidental in history. We are the people of history. We are the owners of history.’ ”

This comment from the Abbas camp is complete rubbish, just one on a laundry list of Palestinian misnomers. First, the Canaanites have been extinct for 3,000 years and little is known today about their direct descendants. Second, pre-Islamic Arabs—of whom Palestinians are direct descendants—first appeared only in the 9th century BCE, not in 7000 BCE. Third, in 1946, before the establishment of Modern Israel, Palestinian-Arab leaders themselves only claimed a connection to the land of Israel dating back no further than seventh century CE—when Muhammad’s followers conquered North Africa and the surrounding region. You may also want to ask: What spiritual, cultural, or traditional constructs of the Canaanite people have Palestinian Arabs maintained? The answer is none.

But this should not be surprising. Even the most novice researcher looking into falsehoods perpetrated by Palestinian leaders would quickly find other blatant lies aimed at delegitimizing the history of the Jewish people, like the time Yasser Arafat told Bill Clinton there was never a Jewish temple in Jerusalem, or the time Ekrima Sabri, former Jerusalem mufti and chairman of the Supreme Islamic Council in Jerusalem, said, “After 25 years of digging, archaeologists are unanimous that not a single stone has been found related to Jerusalem’s alleged Jewish history.”

These are the proponents of the false narrative attempting to rebuke the indigenous status of the Jewish people in the land of Israel.

I got involved in this struggle because I was seeing nonindigenous people make arguments that are detrimental to actual indigenous people, arguments that attempt to rewrite our history. The idea that “Palestinian Arab” conquerors could become indigenous through conquering the Jewish people, even though the term “Palestinian” was only used in reference to Jews before 1948, is anathema. While Arabs claim to be related to the descendants of Israel through blood, it’s just another way to say that they acted like all conquerors, raping and pillaging and then settling and subsuming the locals. Native North Americans especially understand that simply conquering indigenous people does not grant one indigenous status.

Building a monument over our sacred places does not make them yours (Mount Rushmore, anyone?) Not any more than UNESCO declaring the Temple Mount to be a Muslim sacred site because they built a mosque over the church that was built over the ruins of the Jewish Temple. It’s a basic tradition in the Western ethos to respect those who came before you; it’s even built into most of our laws to respect prior claim, and that’s what indigenous rights are really all about. Respecting the rights of those who came before you.

Dear Heavenly Father, I ________ (put your name in it) come to the throne of grace, through the blood of Jesus Christ, the power of the Holy Spirit, to receive Your abundant grace and mercy. Lord Jesus, ________ confess You are the Lord of my life. I ask the resurrected power of the Holy Spirit to fill and saturate every part of my being. I surrender all my spirit, soul and body completely to You. Now I ask You to reveal to me, remind me of any sin that I have committed known or unknown, so that I can confess and repent of them accordingly. (Recommendation: quiet yourself, so you can allow the Holy Spirit to reveal to you)

Cleanse me from all the defilement of the world, sanctify me and my family line of any unrighteousness with the blood of Jesus. Now by my own will, I choose to forgive everyone that has offended me or hurt me, I release them into the freedom of my forgiveness. I also release them from the debts they might owe me. I now cast all my burden to You . Your yoke is easy, Your burden is light. I now put on the armor of God that You have given me, gird myself with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the helmet of salvation, the shield of faith, the sword of the Spirit, my feet fitted with the gospel of peace, so that I can pray and intercede in the Holy Spirit by Your mighty power, and after done all to stand firm.
